I think that fame is starting to go to little Miss KT's head!
The writers did the best that they could with the strike going on and every single show suffered character development with the effects of the strike happeneing. I think that is a slap in the writers faces and sorta mean, they did the best they could.

I am not blaming the writers, but her character was pretty bad this season, and I think it is good that she can accept that fact and is letting others have a chance at winning. Like she said, she didnt think she deserved it!

well if she doesnt deserve it shes not gonna win!!! she just did this so she wouldnt feel bad when she doesnt win!!!

I think that if Katherine Heigl didn't like her character this season she should had talked with the writers and with the producers. This kind of actions are tipically spoiled!

Agree Because She Has No Episode To Submit To The Emmy Balot Because There Was Not 1 Episode In Which She Could Have Won--- Nominated Yes Because The Emmys LOVE Passed Winners And TV Actor's Who Make It Big In Movies.
Disagree Because The Writers JUST Came Of Strike 3 Months Ago... They Did It For A Reason And They Have Every Right Too But Then We Suffer!!! We Have Nothing To Watch!

I agree with Heigl b/c her character development and her acting this season were not very good. Especially compared to other amazing performances such as Dormer's portrayal of Anne Boleyn in the Tudors, especially the finale, Anna Friel's bubbly Chuck from Pushing Daisies, and Yunjin Kim's powerful performance on the Lost season 4 finale. So giving others a chance is an amazing thing that Heigl is doing and it is very big of her to admit to herself and everyone else that she did not do well this season. Big major kudos to Heigl for doing what many others just do not. =) And for those of you who say she is insulting the writers, well this season was pretty bad anyways, as was season 3. The writing has gone downhill and it's their own fault anyways. I mean, they had Heigl save a deer in the S4 opener. Yea, bad bad writing.

Again!!! agree with shieldmaiden.. and MAYBE we should stop ASSUMING she meant this or that when she clearly said: She didn't have the material NOT: I hate the show and the writers...

And if it takes her not going into the emmy's for the writers to see this season was VERY weak, something's awfully wrong! I'm so sure shonda knew something went wrong this season and last one too... We don't have to pretend everything writer's write is perfect, cause it's not.
