WOW. God forbid someone who doesn't like Twilight. JK Rowling is a MUCH better writer with original ideas, unlike Myers. How many "vampire pag-ibig stories" have you seen in this world? MILLIONS. So lets see, how many books have had a young boy who Nawawala his parents and discovers hes a wizard were there before Harry Potter? NONE. And which series took about 4 years to FINALLY get popular? Twilight, unlike Harry Potter, which was an instant hit. Plus, Robert Pattison is NOT a good actor, or hotter. Daniel Radcliffe is the best sa pamamagitan ng far in any science-fiction/fantasy pelikula or books and is WAY madami handsome. Harry Potter is funny, action filled, romantic, and a page turner. So my vote in this "fight" would DEFINATELY go to Harry Potter.

The fact that Edward is hotter and palamigan doesn't mean he's a better character or has madami depth to him. it's outside beauty. And as for the part that he has bella, well, i sort of pity him. how he can stand such an annoying whimpy girl, i will never know.

And who cares if Twilight took 4 years to become popular,it finally did didnt it? and there are alot of GREAT books out there that havnt become popular. Twilight is a Action,Romance,Comedy and a mystery book <- Now this book is a real page turner.

What it's 'all about' is not a pagtatalo about who is 'hotter' or 'cooler'. It' a pagtatalo about which book is better - about how deep the plot is, how captivating, well-written etc. And having a hot and cool character certainly doesn't affect that. Being a good book does not depend upon how cool the main characters are and that's why the pagtatalo about the better book has never been about Edward vs Harry. And I'd be scared for the future of literature if it was.
Really, you need to grow up.

How will being hotter than Harry help him win anything? What will Edward do? Sparkle at him? At least Harry Potter doesn't have the message, "If you are pretty, you are amazing. If you are ugly, you are a shame to society." Harry is lovable without being the hottest guy in the world, which is madami than I can say for Twilight. Nobody would like Edward if he weren't so damn gorgeous. He's a creepy and abusive stalker who has no life.

How is Edward palamigan than Harry in any way? As I sinabi earlier, he is creepy, abusive and stalkerish, none of which are cool at all. Having no life isn't cool either. Just because he's pretty doesn't make him cool. Harry is cool because he treats people right (he never abuses Ginny or any of his friends, unlike Edward) and he has a life. Besides saving the world, he's a bituin Quidditch player. I'd say that is pretty cool.

Having Bella actually harms Edward. What is the Mary-Sue, whiny and selfish, arrogant and rude, good for nothing Bella going to do to help anything? All she ever does is ungratefully complain about her life, talk about how pretty her boyfriend is, and hide behind her man while he saves the day. Anti-feminism! Ginny may not be my paborito character in Harry Potter, but she is a heck of a lot better than Bella! At least Ginny can fight for herself. Both characters are sluts (well, in books 5-6 for Ginny) but at least JK Rowling did it purposely. Ginny also actually has a personality and a life. She sticks up for her mga kaibigan as opposed to abusing them.

If you are talking about winning in a fight, I would firstly like to point out that Bella would lose in a fight against Pigwidgeon. Ginny, however, can actually fight just as efficiently as a male in Harry Potter can. Secondly, Edward wouldn't stand a chance against Harry. Just one wave of the wand, and Edward is done.

Listen, Harry Potter's characters actually HAVE characters. They are not all "pretty" and "graceful" which, in my opinion, is realistic.
Harry Potter HAS a VERY GOOOD plot, something Stephanie Meyer's Twilight "saga" lacks.

To point out another fallacy: Just because Edward is hotter Does not automatically infer the conclusion that he is going to win. This is called Non Sequitur - The conclusion does not follow from the statements, therefore it's an invalid argument.

Edward's skin color? Sparkly pale, like glitter glue. But does that matter? Let's stop and pause for one second. Bella mentions how beautiful Edward is in his looks and movement ONE HUNDRED SIXTY SEVEN TIMES in TWILIGHT ALONE. We never hear how Edward is compassionate and gentle. Why not?........it doesn't matter, since apparently, beauty is all that matters.
Bella would never have noticed Edward if he wasn't so "beautiful." If he had looked (in the book) any worse that a model, she would have thought of him as another person she could manipulate and use. A typical "love" scene in Twilight has Bella complimenting Edward on his Adonis-ish-ness, Edward saying some thesaurus-researched word that he never would have sinabi even if he WAS a real 1920s vampire, a paragraph about his scintillating skin. Bella remarks about her stupidity and/or falls over.

pag-ibig scene in HP: Unless lust scene with Ron and Lavender, the characters talk about the peril of their mission and how they probably won't survive. One character is sinabi to have a flaw in their looks (eg.Ginny looked weary and worn) and they tell each other they'll "hold on to the end" or something like that. Cue inspirational quote and/or "I can't be with you,"or one complimenting another on a difficult task they overcame.

No mentions of Harry's "Topaz eyes" or Ron's "Scintillating arms."

In Harry Potter, beauty isn't everything. You may disagree and think that beauty is the most important thing one can possess, but when you're stuck in a room slowly filling with boiling water you can't smile your way out of it, you need intelligence and resourcefulness. Beauty is not a bad trait, but a character needs madami than "sparkling skin" to be a character with depth.


So, we've established that "hotness" does not matter.
