Extremely confused about a quote?

yeah hermione is referring to the monster book of monsters. to actually support hagrid on his claim that the books were harmless and simple. and draco malfoy immediately swoops down on the chance to insult hagrid once more.

so he tells that it is very funny (in a sarcastic way) and calls hagrid "witty" - again sarcastically to ipakita everybody what a dundderhead hagrid is. so he exclaims that his father will do something once he tells him that they have got hagrid teaching them lessons.

I think Hermione was referring to the Monster Book of Monsters in that quote.

Hermione means she found the books amusing, or she's trying to make out that they are 'funny'.

And Draco is mocking that, basically. I don't know how to explain this without treating you like an idiot. :p Sorry.

Its Emma Watson's terrible terrible acting. that is it. People wouldn't be so confused if she could just deliver that simple line with the correct emotion. lol. ugh she is so awful.

hermiones refering to the book of monsters not towords buckbeck and malfoy is just being himself hes madami in a sence mocking her witty can be used in many ways but i think hes using it in this diolect (combining clever conception and facetious expression)

I remember being confused about this quote as well! I think it would have made much madami sense if they followed the book madami closely here, as Hagrid is the one saying he thinks they're funny, rather than Hermione. To me, it seems completely OOC for Hermione to think the book is funny.

in the movie it says the line weird but in the book Hermione is talking about the monster book of monsters (the book they are studying in care of magical creatures) then Draco responds to her comment.
