He's kinda too... erm, serious. Like, he's an awesome actor, and he'll have an occasional funny moment, but comedy is what attracts people, and Rupert/Ron provides that.

Yeah Rupert from the beginning was a way better actor than Dan. I do have to admit Dan did improve, but Rupert owned in all of them.

I agree with lucycaboosie about Dan, I've never really thought he was any good but I don't think Emma's that TERRIBLE, I just don't like her pagganap as much as some people do.
