My mum hates Harry Potter and i need her to like it so i can watch Harry Potter pelikula without her turning off the TV just becos she hates it. Please help!!! :(

If you can converse well with her, ask her what she doesn't like. Maybe she has some misunderstandings or heard some rubbish somewhere that you can explain. The really best way would be to challenger her to read the first book. I think she would understand more, but we're dealing with parents here, so, good luck.

Well, I've never had that problem, even as a teenager. When I was a teenager my parents didn't treat me as if I were a young child. But maybe you can watch it at a mga kaibigan house or ask your mom 'Can I please watch something I want to watch for a change despite your dislikeness for the pelikula or tv show?' or how about she goes into another room. Just some suggestions.

ask your mom why she hates Harry Potter. Then try to let her see what Harry Potter really is and tell her madami on the positive side of the Harry Potter Movie. But tell it to your mother in the right way. Because you should ipakita respect to her of course.

If she doesn't like it, don't try to make her changer her mind. It reminds me of my own mother, she did not like bituin Trek (the original series) when it was aired on TV in the 80s (yes, I know, it's quite far, but I'm an adult - I could be your mother if I trust your profile). She did not like sci-fi and wasn't interested in it the least bit.

But at least she let me watch it. You may ask her why she doesn't like HP. Tell her she's entitled to her opinion but that you're old enough to watch something you like every now and then. Suggest her you could watch at times it won't bother her, for example.

If she's really reluctant, go and watch at a friend's.

You may also explain that the pelikula have very few profanities spoken, very good pagganap sa pamamagitan ng legendary cast, with a wonderful British accent. I say so because I highly recommend my students to watch the HP pelikula for these reasons (I teach English).

If she doesn't like it, then she doesn't like it. There's no way that you can force her to like it, especially since she's your mom.

So just watch it when she's not around.

My mom does the same thing. We get along very well and she does not treat me like a child. The thing is that she is tiered of it. When all that you do is talk about it and watch the pelikula all the time it can get annoying. If you are anything like me then she probably already knows the whole story, and if your mother is anything like mine, then she will never read the books because that is just not what she is into. If anything just compromise. Maybe if you do something to help her or do well on a test then your reward would be to watch one of the pelikula without interference.
