I was 5 when I first discovered him. Sorcerer's Stone was a gift from my kindergarten teacher. Even though I had been pagbaba since age 2, I still had trouble with some of the words. As a result, my mom read it to me as my bedtime story. Iremember sitting up in bed, Hogwarts a clear image in my mind. Later, when I could read it for myself, I would read at night. Sometimes, I'd fall asleep. I would wake up susunod morning and find the book on the floor sa pamamagitan ng my bed. Every year, for my birthday, I would get the susunod installment. I practically memorized them. When the first movie came out, my parents took me to see it. I was still young enough for Voldemort to creep me out. When the segundo movie came out, I saw the prebiyu for it. I clearly remember seeing the Polyjuice sequence. It scared me, so I told my parents I didn't want to see any madami of them in the theater. For six years, I waited openly for the letter. Since then I only harbor the secret hope that it will come. When book 4 arrived, I read it so fast my mom accused me of skimming. In all honesty, I never skimmed any of the Harry Potter books. Remember that. When I got book 7, I plunked my self on my kama and started reading. I barely ate. Finally, I got so far in the book that my mom actually TOOK it from me and accuse me of skipping. I took it back susunod araw and finished it in a couple hours. Recently, I saw the last movie in the theater. It was a birthday present. For my 18th birthday. Just like all the other Potterheads, I read the books and saw the movies. I had Norbert. I played with sticks, pretending they were wands. I have the Sorcerer's Stone trivia game (and I always win). And I waited for my letter. However, I have something not even the most die-hard Potterhead has. My birthday is July 31. That araw is my special connection to Harry. I always like to mention that. Of all the Potterheads, I'll probably miss Harry the most. At least I still have the special day. Harry Potter Day. To Harry Potter, The Boy Who Lived!
