I think this is probably his most prominent one, or at least the one that has the greatest effect on the story. I imagine, if he didn't judge people in this way, certain events would have gone a lot more smoothly. So I think this is definitely a trait of his that gets him and others into trouble more than enough times!

It's also probably my favourite flaw of his. People make assumptions about others like this in real life, and fans can learn from Harry's mistakes.

I mean I was surprised this wasn't on here. I feel like he sometimes lets his anger get the best of him.

I think anger is the only one that really fits him (at least in the books).

^ I think it's easiest to see when Harry admires people. He sees his father James as such a great man but ignores how much of a shitty person he was at Hogwarts. He ignores how much James (and Sirius and Lupin) bullied Snape when they were kids.

It's also easy to see with Dumbledore - it goes along with blind faith, but Harry trusts and admires Dumbledore completely even though Dumbledore shuts out Harry, treats him like a child, let him live with an abusive family, and was ultimately very self-serving and arrogant.

He also just views everything in black and white - either you're good or you're with Voldemort. He pretty much based his world around Gryffindor vs. Slytherin and Dumbledore vs. Voldemort throughout the books and ignored everything else. He was also always insistent on placing people into those categories even when maybe they were neutral or maybe they weren't as bad as Harry believed (like Draco).

Moreover, once he makes judgements he never changes them. With his heroes no matter how much evidence stacked up against them he refused to taint his view of them.

Silverdoe picked Blind faith (i.e. in Dumbledore):
I've never understood when character's have blind faith in someone. Even when the character is considered good, I've always thought blind faith was a bad idea.

Playing the hero
LowriLorenza89 picked Playing the hero:
This is stated in the books, isn't it? Maybe not "playing the hero" exactly - I wasn't sure how to phrase it, but how whenever someone is in danger he leaps to the rescue without thinking and it can lead him into traps.

I'd say that anger is a flaw of his too, particularly in the latter books (from OOTP onwards). Maybe blind faith too - but in a two-sided way. Not only does he trust people like Dumbledore blindly, but he also doesn't let go of biases easily, like Snape (though maybe that was written that way to trick the audience).
