He has it in him to protect others so it's just natural for him to become an auror.

That is what he wanted to do so I am hoping that he did get to do it...

I wonder if he went back and finished his final year at Hogwarts or if they just gave him a pass since he defeated Voldemort :) He might not have had the qualifiations to be an Auror.

Either this or Quidditch player. He and Ginny could've played Quidditch or be Aurors together, since they both were so talented in these areas!

There's no way Harry became an Auror:

(1.) He said he doesn't want to do anymore Dark Wizard vanquishing he's had enough of that to last him a life time
(2.) There aren't any more Dark Wizards left so what would be the point?

It would have been nice if him and Ginny played Quidditch together, but I think Harry had enough cash in Gringotts from his parents, Sirius and Grimmauld place to help him supply for his family for a life time

I think that after all he has been through he wouldn't want anymore adventure, so he'd take a job with no risk.

I'm pretty sure no one can object to him doing anything he wants after what he did. Auror suits him. Except I dunno who he'd be catching now Voldemorts gone.

He doesn't really need a job he was rich to start with and he probably got some kind of reward for all hes done so i think he is set for life

Evil did not flee the real world when Hitler died, guys... just because Voldemort was defeated does not mean everything is now all peaches & cream. The position of Head Auror is a perfect one for Harry.

I think he'd be a teacher, DADA and ginny could do something else. though shed be great as a teacher too :)

As stated, JKR has mentioned that Ron and Harry would "Redefine the Auror Department."

As for the "Who would they fight now?" question, well, just because Voldemort's dead doesn't mean there aren't bad wizards in the world. It's just the same with Muggles, and murderers, rapists and the like. I like to think of the Aurors as a sort of wizard police thing, except more badass.

Even though he was a fantastic Quidditch Player, it was always a hobby. He'd been trying to defeat the most powerful dark wizard of all time since he was 1, if you think about it, and he won. It's only natural for him to capture dark wizards for a living after that.
