I actually have friends who cosplay as France and they get treated really badly. They said they've had rape jokes thrown at them. People screaming "AHHH It's France, run before he rapes you" and running away. Also actually hitting them on the head. It's horrible.

The only time France has ever actually raped anyone is in fanon, and he's only a rapist in people's headcanons. Fanon is separate from canon.

I don't want to butt in again but it's not good to accuse anyone of something you have no actual evidence for. Acting similar to someone else or speaking in a similar manner is not proof. It could be a coincidence and it happens quite a bit. While I understand that you're upset with her opinion, I myself dislike Francis being portrayed or thought of as a rapist, acting on it rudely is not the way to go about it. At first I didn't like how she made it sound as if she was stating it like a fact, but I guess it was my own misunderstanding. Try to be nice to others, our fandom's reputation is already bad enough as it is. uvu

Btw I'd like to say I don't LIKE that he is portrayed in some scenes that he is a rapist. Its just in my OPINION he is portrayed like one... she doesn't seem to accept someone has different opinions. I like France. I just dislike Himruya for portraying him that way.

There's no need to be hating on France. Never in the series has France ever raped anybody. He's..just..rather perverted. I'm not saying that it's a good thing, but it's not a crime. Rape is a serious topic and should not be discussed over a fictional character. In my opinion France makes the anime series hilarious. Yes, I'm 13. You probably think I'm ignorant and have no sense of logic, and perhaps you're right. Although I'm smart enough to know that France is not a rapist, but just a character who is romantic and is quite flirtatious. But whatever.... it's your opinion.

It bothers me somewhat because I don't know what to think, there are a few times he acts weird around England (when he was sick in world series) but I can't see he is fully a rapsit. It has never actually happened in the series so we sorta can't call him that unless something happens at some point, he only acts like that because France is a country of love period, although...I do worry why he told Italy what sexual inner course or whatever it was in that book was, not saying he's a rapist, granted, he probelly has been in bed before, but do I think it was rape, no. So it sorta bothers me, but not ss much as other people because it doesn't matter, the series isn't over so anything can happen still. But most likely, he isn't one.

Seeing as I was exposed to the character of France before I knew of the rapist stereotype he was given, yes, I do get more than slightly peeved when people are all like "FRANCE IS RAPEST LUL LOK OUT BEFOR HE RAPS U" I can stand it when people poke fun and jokingly call him a creeper, but if you take it too far, I'll sit there in front of my computer consumed with annoyance for the rest of the evening.

To call a cartoon character something horrible like a rapist is unforgiveable, though /some/ people on here takes this series a little too serious. Take it easy guys.

I don't like it when people call France a rapist; he doesn't fit that image to me. I picture France as a person who just likes affection, closeness, and is just kind of a touchy-feely person.

But he's not a rapist. His personality doesn't fit that of a person who would abuse somebody, and I think he's harmless. However, I'm not going to let myself get all angry and annoyed with somebody when they decide to express their thoughts, just because they don't click with mine. While I disagree, well... not much one can do about what people think, right?

Again, though... my opinion is just my opinion, and if some of you think that yes, France is a rapist... then go ahead, I guess. He's just a character from an anime show, so if you have your own opinions about him, then great. xD I've got mine.
