I'm not gonna lie. It did help. And not detail wise. It help with the imagery of memorizing certain events like what countries were bullying italy and such.
And the allies of the austrian succession.
plus i was the only kid to know who the hapsburg were without the teacher saying.

I haven't had a world history class since 6th grade and that was before I knew about Hetalia~ :P

I don't take History quite yet... It may help a VERY tiny bit but, honestly I would never use Hetalia for a substitute for History in anyway. I draw a line with Hetalia and History.

^ I know as a substitute it is not going to help, not at all. But it does provide imagery of certain events. But only a few. I'm a mixed learner and I memorize easily by seeing. Thats how hetalia helps me. When I'm having trouble with studying I image hetalia characters running around. Like Zwingli the Protestant reformer running around switzerland X3

You shouldn't rely on anime to help you with history, but it can help provide imagery for events. For example, if you don't like thinking about an actual war between Germany and Italy, you can imagine Ludwig and Feliciano arguing.

@Heta-chan: Hm yeah, I agree with the imagery. I can understand how that would help~ I might end up doing the same at very rare times if I run into serious trouble but yes, only for certain events.

I believe the anime and manga itself won't help you; using it as a study guide will definitely not help. However, hetaku_chan does have a point, with the imagery and all. Hetalia makes history a lot more interesting to learn. :3
