I remember visiting this website once...
It was called Watch It, Football Head! Can't Wait for This 'Hey Arnold!' TV Movie | moviepilot.com
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
A \'Hey Arnold!\' TV Movie Is Confirmed. Oh, How I\'ve Missed That Football Head!
During my last semester of undergrad, I spent every free moment I had in-between studying for finals watching episode after episode of Hey Arnold! Growing up, this was one of my most favorite shows, and somehow watching it as a break from cramming fact after fact into my head was somewhat soothing.
Perhaps I just don\'t really want to grow up.
As if Nickelodeon could tell that I needed more Arnold, Gerald, Helga, Pookie, and Stoop Kid, they have recently announced that they are developing a TV movie for not only the \'90s kids, but for the new generation as well to foster some "family viewing opportunities." Remember this little jazzy intro?
Variety and explained that the movie will be a continuation of where the TV show left off, which means we might learn more about Arnold\'s parents and their whereabouts.
Chris Viscardi is currently the network\'s senior vice president of content development for franchise properties. The entire point of his new position is to revive classic Nickelodeon shows and Hey Arnold! is paving the way. Russell Hicks, the president for Nickelodeon Group, says:
“Kids who grew up on these characters are now of the age that they are having kids and families themselves. Our library has come to fruition and it’s time for it to start coming back to life.”
Along with some resurfacing of the classics, executives aren\'t afraid of new projects to ride alongside the oldies. Hicks also explains that the shows are set
“for the current audience that we have. You have to remember people who are going to watch really don’t have a recollection of ‘Hey Arnold,’” he added. “You have to make it relevant to them but also nod to the audience that is going to be interested.”
And for those of you who enjoyed some of Nickelodeon\'s live-action shows, such as Clarissa Explains It All and You Can\'t Do That On Television, they are throwing those in the idea bag as well.
While Nickelodeon is still trying to solidify exactly what will be featured on the network, they are still planning on being selective and are thinking about how they can reboot them in a fresh way again.
