Later that night House lay in his room, trying to sleep. The pain was so bad! He wanted to cut his own leg off. He screamed a little but it was too silent for anyone to really hear. He took a paliguan before he went to kama but it did no use because he was all sweaty again.
He tried elevating his leg but that didn’t work. He lay in different positions but no matter where he lay he was in pain. He tried everything that he could but to no avail. He would just have to wait the night out. In the morning Dr. Grey got him out of bed. He hadn’t slept all night.
“How’s the pain buddy?” He asked trying to be nice. “How do you think it is?” House replied unhappily. “Well, jump in the shower, maybe that’ll help.” He suggeted. House sinabi nothing and just massaged his leg. Once Grey left he took a shower. He let the hot water fall down on him. He leaned against the pader for support, trying not to put weight on his bad leg. ‘I wish she was here.’ He thaught to himself, referring to Cuddy. ‘She really did help me forgot about my leg for 30 seconds.’ He thaught again.
He didn’t know how he felt about Cuddy. At times he had a feeling of…love for her and at times he had a feeling of irritation. But then again, the women had perjured herself for him. She had risked her job God only knows how many times for him. She has risked everything for him time after time. She covers his asno on a daily basis and yet she still finds time to run a whole fucking hospital and take care of an infant at home. He owed her BIG time. “I pag-ibig her.” He sinabi outloud to himself.
After he took his paliguan it was time for breakfast. The pagkain sucked at Mayfield but he guessed it could be worse. Today’s breakfast was sloppy eggs, burnt sausages, and a crappy piece of toast. Yum, yum. He sat in his paborito spot sa pamamagitan ng the window all alone. The window, of course, had bars on them so he couldn’t see as much as he would have liked.
As he ate he watched cars pull in and out of Mayfield and observed the people that come in and out. He saw one car pull in and he thaught the car looked familiar but it was also a popular car. Then she got out. The sun beating down on her dark brown hair making it look shiny as ever. Her tight pencil palda and her tight sando revealing a good amount of cleavage. And then her heels clicking on the pavement as she walked to the entrance.
“House, gotta lady visiter.” Grey told him 2 minutos later. “Oooh, House has a girlfriend.” One of the physc patients sinabi laughing histarically and creepily. House walked into the visitors room and saw Cuddy there standing and waitign rather impatiently.
“Hey.” He sinabi plainly. “Hey!” She sinabi smiling and excited to see him. “Why are you so happy today?” He asked grumpily. “…I-I don’t know.” She sinabi realizing that she was actually happy to see him. He smiled and admired what she was wearing. They sat down susunod to eachother and she shifted her chair to face him. “What do you want to talk about today?” He asked. “I don’t know. Why don’t you ipakita me around.” She suggested. “Grey! I’m gonna ipakita her around. Kay?” He said. “Alright. Promise no trouble?” He asked as they walked out into the cafeteria. “I’ll make sure he stays away from the Vicodin.” Cuddy joked.
They walked down the hall to his room. “Here is where I sleep, cry, puke, and dream about girls with big jugs.” He told her as they stepped into the room. Surprisingly it was clean and neat. It was simple as well. Blue walls, blue curtains, white sheets, and bars on the window.
“Where do you go to the bathroom?” She asked looking around and noticing no bathroom. “Well aparentley 2 years nakaraan a crazy man killed himself sa pamamagitan ng making a kutsilyo out of the toilet paper roll holder so now we go to the community bathroom out in the hall.” He said. “Seriously?” She asked. “No but lets say yes and make it a hell of a lot madami interesting.” He sat on his kama and massaged his aching leg…she noticed.
As she sat susunod to him on the kama she breathed in his scent…it wasn’t him. She loved his collogne that he used to wear. “On a scale from 1-20?” She asked. “…a 16…15 would be pushing it.” He sinabi truthfully. “When we are talking if the pain changes just say the number, that way I can see if you are distracted form the pain or not.” She said.
“16.” He massaged still. “Err…so, have any mga kaibigan here?” She asked. “Yeah right.” “What do you do then?” She was becoming curious. “Therapy sucks.” He said. “What do you do in therapy?” She asked. “Talk about useless shit like how I’m feeling, or who do I spend my time thinking about.” He replied. “How are you feeling?” She smiled as did he. “Like shit…14.” He said. “Who do you spend your time thinking about?” She smiled again. “Mostly Wilson and you…and my last hooker 2 years ago.” He said.
“Aww, you spend your time thinking about Wilson and me?” She sinabi pretending to be touched. “…and Tasty.” He joked. “Who do you miss the most?” She asked. “…I never really thaught that I’d say this but being lonley sucks. When I get out of here I’m going to get a dog or a 24/7 hooker.” He sinabi making her laugh a little. “Why don’t you get a girlfriend?” She asked.
He looked at her and tried to figure out where she was going with this. “You know why I don’t have relationships.” He sinabi looking back down at the ground. “Because you don’t open up?” She guessed. “No, because I’m an ungratful, self-centered, ass…Stacey is messed up so I can understand why she found interest in me.” She looked at him with loving eyes. “Nobody in their right mind would ever pag-ibig me again.” He sinabi sadly. She wanted to tell him how she felt but she couldn’t…she didn’t have the guts. Instead she grabbed his hand and held on tight. “4.” He sinabi after a while of just sitting and holding her hand.
She smiled and got up. “So when we interact physically the pain decreases dramatically.” She noted. “You make it sound dirty.” He joked and she smiled. “I’ll see you tomorrow, House.” She sinabi patting him on the back. He smiled and walked out with her to the cafeteria. “Be good…for me.” She added with a smile before leaving. As soon as she left the pain started to come back.
He sat back down at his breakfast mesa and watched her leave. In his therapy session he played with some paper clips. The therapist kept talking but he tuned him out. “House, I’ve seen they way you look at her. I’m making a new step in recovery. You know that if you don’t do all the steps you don’t get out of here. The susunod step is telling her how you feel and how you are sorry for all the things you have done to hurt her…I’m sure there are many. Don’t do this out of the fact that you just want to get out but instead of the fact that you do have feelings for her and that you care about what you did.” The Dr. told him. House took a minuto to process this before standing. “Supper time.” He sinabi and walked out.
He ate his sarsa and biscuits and drank some water before going back to him room. The hot water of the paliguan seemed to relieve him of stress and help him think but nothing could take away the physical pain. Nothing except for her…his love. He actually got to sleep because he thaught about her to help him sleep.
Later that night Cuddy sat at her couch, Rachel asleep, drinking some wine. She was thinking about how much she missed him. about how much she missed his jokes that she found irritating…did she pag-ibig him? ‘Nobody in their right mind would ever pag-ibig me again.’ His words repeated in her head. What if she did pag-ibig him? After thinking about it and deciding through 3 glasses of wine she called it a night and went to bed.
