Once he was finished shooting the scene with Jennifer and Omar in it, George’s shift ended. He knew Lisa would be done in a bit, as the makeup didn’t take forever to be applied.
He didn’t know if he should look for her, considering she wanted to talk. He decided to wait, pretending to do something, that way when she found him, if she found him, it would look like he wasn’t interested in the talk or whatsoever. Of course, he was madami than interested. He was ecstatic about it. However, that conversation could be something he didn’t expect. Maybe she wanted to tell him that she was going to get him fired.
George quickly brushed off that thought and prayed that conversation is not about that.
He didn’t even have time to pretend he was doing something; Lisa was already in front of him. George’s stomach churned as the curiosity and anxiety grew bigger.
“George, can we talk in private?” Lisa asked in the sweetest voice.
“Yeah, sure” he muttered. He was hoping she didn’t want to kill him in private too.
Once they were in Lisa’s dressing room, George spotted the kwelyo lying on the coffee table. He remembered the scene from earlier that araw and twitched a little. Lisa seemed to be relaxed. Either she was not mad, or she was pleased with what she was about to do- possibly lain off George.
Lisa showed George the way to the chair and nodded when he raised and eyebrow as in if he was supposed to sit down. The moment he did Lisa started talking.
“I… I need a friend… and I consider you a friend George, you’ve helped me so many times, I can rely on you … and… Did I say I need a friend?” Lisa sinabi in one breath, almost like it was depending on her life.
“Tell me… what is it?”
George hated himself at this moment, Lisa telling him that she could rely on him where he was intruding her dressing room to find evidence of her sinning, even though she told him she wasn’t. George never felt less small than this time.
“I… I got a court order….” She gulped “ Jo… Hugh’s wife’s lawyer wants me to testify… They want me on that stand George…” she gulped again.
“Are you scared?” George hung his head in shame. He was so lame.
“Yes… I mean… no… I don’t know… I don’t know what am I gonna say once I’m on that stand. They will certainly ask me some really inappropriate questions…” she reached for Georges hand across the table. George squeezed it tight.
He raised his head and looked Lisa deeply in her eyes. They were full of tears ready to start they journey down her cheeks.
This was the moment George decided he was going to be a better person. Starting with being there for Lisa, his… he played her words in his head again… ‘Friend’.
“How can I help?” he asked sincerely, his voice almost breaking.
“You… you need to help me… maybe they will ask you to testify too… You know, cause you were part of this all… somehow”
And there they were, those little drops of salty water, those little liquid pearls starting their journey. Coming out of Lisa’s perfect blue-grey eyes, finding their final destination dropping from the end of her chin on her blouse.
He was going to help her. She needed him and he wasn’t going to let her down again.
Hope you enjoyed this non-cliffy ending xDDDD
But wait, there's more!!!
A teaser?
He hadn’t been seeing her so much as he used to. He missed her laugh, he missed just chitchatting with her between the breaks and he missed her in general.
Yeah, it is, it is!! :DDDDDDDDDD
oh, sinners, you are the best!!!
Keep reviewing!! :DDDD
