It’d been a buwan since Lisa told George she needed a friend. Him. A lot of things happened during that month. He talked with Lisa everyday about what she was going through and he even talked with Hugh. One araw he got a call from Hugh’s lawyer and he sinabi that he would like to have George testify on Hugh’s behalf. Just like Lisa suspected. He knew it would be good for Hugh as George knew everything that was going on, that was, what wasn’t going on.

Only thing that made George uncomfortable about this whole thing was that George was starting to miss his friend, Jenny. He hadn’t been seeing her so much as he used to. He missed her laugh, he missed just chitchatting with her between the breaks and he missed her in general.
He was actually quite scared when he found out how drawn he was to her.
He couldn’t see her so much often cause he was too occupied with everything that had been going on with Hugh’s divorce.
He knew he would have to fly to England along with Hugh and Lisa in a month.
They already got through everything with Hugh’s lawyer and they knew what to expect. Well, sort of.

Hugh’s lawyer flew one araw in the nakaraan buwan to speak with them all. He had to go trough some tanong he was going to ask Hugh once he was on the stand. George hadn’t witnessed Hugh’s consult, but his was pretty much terrifying.
The lawyer first explained to George why he needed to testify in the first place.
George was told that Hugh’s wife, Jo, didn’t want to divorce. She believed she wasn’t the reason they would divorce and blamed Hugh of being unfaithful. If she were to be proven right in court, she would get a high amount of Hugh’s money as well as full custody of their under-aged kids. Hugh, of course, didn’t want to let that happen and he needed to be sure it wouldn’t. That was why his lawyer thought of bringing the third party, to testify on his behalf. That was where George stepped in.

He had to ought to tell the truth in court, tell about everything he witnessed through nakaraan years and months and pray he didn’t screw up.
However, George knew he would find a way to screw it all up after all and that gave him chills.
