We need you to fill out these papers. She’ll be fine. We’ll get you in to see her before she delivers.” A kind nurse sinabi stopping him from following Lisa and handing him some papers. He wanted to scream at her but knew that would get him nowhere so he filled out the papers. He was directed to Lisa’s room and was afraid that she was delievering right now. “Hi.” Lisa sinabi smiling and reaching out for him. She was obviously on some pain meds. “Hey. How are you feeling?” He asked kisisng her head and holding her hands. “I’m grrr-eat! These pain meds are awesome!” She sinabi making him laugh. She looked tired. She was in a hospital gown, eyes droopy from the meds, and pain written all over her face but she couldn’t feel them from the meds. “That’s good. Has the doctor come to see you yet?” He asked. She just smiled closed her eyes and shook her head. “Mr. Laurie.” Dr. Bakus sinabi as she came in and read Lisa’s chart. “How is she?” The Dr. asked. “She’s pain free. The meds had their effect.” He tried not to sound worried but it showed. “Well, she’s not fully dialated yet so you’ll have to wait a little longer but don’t worry. She’s in good hands, the mga sanggol are healthy, she’s healthy, everything is goig to be fine.” Dr. Bakus reassured as she put Lisa’s chart back in it’s holder and slipped out of the room.

I didn’t want to hurt you.” She was getting teary eyed. “You didn’t ruin my family. You made us realize that we weren’t a perfect family. That’s a good thing. Don’t cry…and don’t blame yourself. Because it’s not your fault.” He reached up and cupped the back of her head. They shared a passionate kiss. “It all started with some alcohol.” She smirked. “Maybe we shouldn’t blam the alcohol. They had checkups monthly and each time they got a look at their babies. The only issues they had were the morning sickness, which had faded, aching joints, which were natural, and the fact that there was never pagkain in the house. Hugh didn’t mind running out late at night to get her food. He actually enjoyed it. It reminded him of how much he missed being a first time father. David and Katie visited often, when they could. They were very busy writing. Jen and Olivia visited daily as did Robert, Omar, Peter, and Jesse. Kal even dropped in one time to see how they were doing. It was a very quick visit seeing as he was very busy but a good surprise non the less. She also receieved calls from her parents every 5 minutes.
On one rainy April araw Lisa sat at her sopa watching TV. She had sent Hugh out to go get some pagkain again and was now watching some re-runs of America’s susunod tuktok Model. During the time she felt the mga sanggol kick. This was normal for them so she just placed her hand on her tummy and tried to calm them down. Then she had some discomfort. It started as a little ache then grew to a pain in her abdomen that made her have to get up. The pain went away as soon as she stood and she felt it was odd but sat back down anyways. 20 minutos later Hugh and the pain came back. "Hey. Got the goods.” He sinabi walking over to her with a bag in hand. She tried to smile but shifted in her upuan from the pain. “You okay?” He asked. “Yeah. Yeah. I’m fine.” She reassured him. The pain went away but this time she looked at the clock. Just incase she was going into labor she needed to time her contractions. 15 minutos later another one hit her. She stood and it went away. If the susunod one was less than 15 minutos she was going to tell Hugh but too late. Before she got the chance to sit back down the felt warm liquid running down her leg. “Hugh!” She yelled. He came running in alarmed that someone was killing her. “We need to go.” She sinabi calmly. “Uh…I guess we do.” He sinabi reaching her side quickly and helping her to the door. "Put your dyaket on!” She yelled at him after he helped her put her dyaket on. “I’ll be fine.” He sinabi and grabbed her bag that they prepared for when this does happen.
“My wife is going into labor.” He sinabi to a young man after he pulled up to the hospital. He felt using her pamagat as his 'wife' even though they weren't married yet. The young paremedic who had just dropped off one patient grabbed a wheelchair and helped Lisa into it. A nurse came out and wheeled Lisa in with Hugh following. “Sir. We need you to fill out these papers. She’ll be fine. We’ll get you in to see her before she delivers.” A kind nurse sinabi stopping him from following Lisa and handing him some papers. He wanted to scream at her but knew that would get him nowhere so he filled out the papers. He was directed to Lisa’s room and was afraid that she was delievering right now. “Hi.” Lisa sinabi smiling and reaching out for him. She was obviously on some pain meds. “Hey. How are you feeling?” He asked kisisng her head and holding her hands. “I’m grrr-eat! These pain meds are awesome!” She sinabi making him laugh. She looked tired. She was in a hospital gown, eyes droopy from the meds, and pain written all over her face but she couldn’t feel them from the meds. “That’s good. Has the doctor come to see you yet?” He asked. She just smiled closed her eyes and shook her head. “Mr. Laurie.” Dr. Bakus sinabi as she came in and read Lisa’s chart. “How is she?” The Dr. asked. “She’s pain free. The meds had their effect.” He tried not to sound worried but it showed. “Well, she’s not fully dialated yet so you’ll have to wait a little longer but don’t worry. She’s in good hands, the mga sanggol are healthy, she’s healthy, everything is goig to be fine.” Dr. Bakus reassured as she put Lisa’s chart back in it’s holder and slipped out of the room.
Hugh called her parents and told them and they were overwhelmed with joy and so sorry they couldn’t be there. He then called Jen who happened to be with Olivia at the moment. After he sinabi ‘Lisa’s having the babies.’ They shrieked in a highpitched scream that put him deaf in his left ear. They sinabi they would be there right away and they would tell everyone else. Hugh even warned the nurse to let the 2 shreiking girls come to the room when they came. David and Katie were just as estatic and would be there later after Lisa had the twins. After all the calling was over he sat susunod to her kama and smiled at her lovingly. She smiled too until she realized the pain was coming back. The drugs had finally worn off and she was now really feeling the pain of labor. The nurse came in and told her that she had to wait a little bit for the meds seeing as how they didn’t want to give her high dosages in fear it might hurt the twins or her. She was instructed to just take deep breaths and find a comfortable spot to lay. Hugh held her hand and stroked her head. He hated seeing her in pain. It broke his heart. Just then Olivia and Jen came running in nearly tripping in their heels. “Lisa!” They sinabi together. “Hey girls.” Lisa sinabi weakly. “Sorry we couldn’t be here sooner.” Jen apologized. “That’s ok. You’re just in time actually. The damn fuckers won’t give me any madami meds. Can you believe that?!” Lisa sinabi clearly angry. Both Olivia and Jen laughed at her.
“Hello everyone.” Dr. Bakus sinabi coming in and putting some gloves on. Jen and Olivia stepped away while the Dr. checked to see how dialated Lisa was. “Well, I think we should get a ilipat on.” The Dr. sinabi throwing her gloves away. “What do you mean?” Hugh asked. “I mean she’s almost fully dialated so we should prep her for delivery.” The Dr. stated. Hugh’s eyes grew round and in that moment he stopped breathing. “Hugh.” Lisa sinabi softly. “It’s ok.” She smiled weakly at him and took his hand as the hospital room now became a delivery room. “Olivia and Jen were instructed to wait outside sa pamamagitan ng one of the nurses. Hugh was put into a surgical coat. His puso was racing and he was sweating like crazy. Lisa was now clearly in pain. He dabbed a wet cloth on her forehead and neck and held her hand. “Hugh, I need drugs.” She sinabi holding back her anger. “I know but the doctor-“ She grabbed his sando and pulled him down to her face. “I. Need. Drugs.” She hissed at him. “N-nurse. Can she have the drugs now?” He asked fearing for his life. “I’ll get Dr. Bakus.” The nurse sinabi rushing out of the room. “How the fuck is that supposed to help?!” Lisa screamed after her. “She’s going to go get the doctor. Deep breaths. Breathe with me.” He tried to calm her down but all she really wanted was to be pain free. “Hugh. I want to marry you.” She sinabi squinting her eyes in pain. “No crap. That’s why you sinabi yes to my proposal.” He sinabi and then realized he shouldn’t have been so rude. “I mean right now. Before the mga sanggol are born.” She told him. “What? Are you crazy! You’re having twins right now!” He sinabi disbelieving her. “I’m not having these mga sanggol until we are married!” She screamed. Jen and Olivia heard from outside and looked at eachother and laughed. “Lisa, there isn’t ti-“ She cut him off. “Go and get a fucking minister to marry us before I have these fucking babies!” She yelled louder. “Ok.” He sinabi quickly and ran out of the room.
“We need a minister…now.” He told Olivia and Jen. "We’ve already called one. He should be here in half an hour.” Jen replied. “Half and hour?! She’s going into labor now!” Hugh screamed maybe a little too loud but it was a good thing he did. “Excuse me. I couldn’t help but over hear. Do you need a minister?” A man asked them. “Yes!” Hugh sinabi with relief. “I happen to be a rabbi.” The minister smiled proudly. "Great but I need a min-wait. Lisa is Jewish! Perfect!” Hugh asked. “Nurse, could you please get this man into my wife’s room.” He ordered and then ran back into Lisa’s room. “Hey. I got a rabbi!” He exclaimed. “Seriously?! How conven-“ Another contraction took over her. Dr. Bakus came in, checked how far along she was, smiled, and left the room. “Lisa. Now I know you want the pain medication but we can’t give you any right now. It’s too dangerous…plus you are fully dialated.” The doctor explained as she got on some gloves and was now wearing a blue medical jacket. “What is he doing here?” Dr. Bakus asked referring to the rabbi who was now wearing a blue jacket. “We’re getting married.” Hugh said. “Oh. Of course you are.” The Dr. proceeded. The room was so hectic with evry one bustling about. Lisa giving birth to twins and getting married at the same time was crazy but if it made her happy Hugh would do anything.
The rabbi asked Hugh if he took Lisa as his wife. Before he could answer she cried out in pain. “I do!” He sinabi quickly. The rabbi quickly asked Lisa if she took Hugh to be her husband. Between screams and cries an ‘I do.’ Was also said. “Do we have rings?” The rabbi asked. Shit! They forgot the rings. “Yes we do!” Olivia and Jen exclaimed as they burst through the doors holding two simple ginto wedding bands. Hugh put his head in his hands and sighed. “Have they had the twins yet?” David yelled form outside. Hugh gave Olivia and Jen a questioning look. “No! Not yet! They’re getting married!” Olivia yelled back. “What?!” Was sounded from the rest of the cast of House. It was total chaos. People yelling and squeeing in excitement while trying to get into see the ‘wedding’. Just then everyone shut up as Lisa started to scream in pain. A little cry came as the first child was born and everyone was witnessing the best araw of Lisa and Hugh’s life at that moment. Ania Patricia Laurie-Edelstein, 6 pounds and 5 ounces. She was so beautiful. Her cry resonated througout the whole hospital. It was the happiest moment. They felt as they had been reborn. “Mr. Laurie would you like to cut the embilical cord?” A nurse asked him as she put some scissors in his hand and showed him his baby girl. She was crying bloody murder. “Wait! Hugh! Get Jen and Olivia to take pictures!” Lisa screamed before he cut the cord. He wanted to be like ‘WTF?!’ but knew that pictures were important. Jen whipped out her camera and started capturing the moment. So they got the picture but now Lisa was screaming. The segundo twin was on the way. “And here’s your baby boy.” Dr. Bakus sinabi handing the screaming infant over to the nurse. Two of their happiest moments all in one day. Calum Alvin Laurie-Edelstein, 6 pounds 9 ounces. Hugh was put in the postion to cut the cord again and again he shaked like a leaf. He carefully cut the cord and Jen got the picture.
“Look it’s your mommy.” Hugh walked over with both mga sanggol in each arm. Ania was wrapped in a kulay-rosas blanket and Calum in a blue. He gently placed the infants in Lisa’s arms. She looked down at them and was overwhelmed with joy. Tears fled to her eyes and she cried. In this moment everything was so wrong it was so right. The only thing that was perfect were the babies. But that was ok because that was how their lives were. Chaotic. She wanted it to last for a lifetime. “They’re beautiful…just like like their mother.” He whispered as he stroked her hair. She smiled up at him. A group ‘Aww’ was sounded from everyone who had their ears pressed up against the door and from Jen and Olivia. “Picture time!” Olivia sinabi as Jen started taking a billion pictures. The nurse let everyone in and they all surrounded Hugh, Lisa, and the twins. “Congradulations.” David and Katie along with everyone else as they all got their look at the twins. “We have to take the mga sanggol to the nursery now.” A nurse sinabi smiling. Lisa and Hugh kissed their mga sanggol and let the nurse take them away. “Well, we should be leaving. You both must be tired. After all you did get married and have twins all in one night.” Katie joked but Lisa nor Hugh found it funny. Everyone left soon after and left Lisa and Hugh alone. The craziness of it all left just as soon as it came and the room that was once filled with doctors and coworkers was now lonley and abondoned with only two people in it.
“How are you feeling?” He asked as he pulled up a chair and sat susunod to her. “Ummm…tired.” She sinabi stating the obvious. “Yeah. Me too.” He smiled at her. “Remember just 10 months nakaraan when you told me you were pregnant?” He asked reminicing. She scoffed and smiled. “Yeah. Up until now that was the most painful thing I’ve ever had to do.” She sinabi reaching for his hand. “Why?” He asked squeezing her hand. “I didn’t want to tell you because I knew you had a family. I knew that if I were to tell you about me being pregnant with your child…it would ruin everything with your family. I didn’t want to hurt you.” She was getting teary eyed. “You didn’t ruin my family. You made us realize that we weren’t a perfect family. That’s a good thing. Don’t cry…and don’t blame yourself. Because it’s not your fault.” He reached up and cupped the back of her head. They shared a passionate kiss. “It all started with some alcohol.” She smirked. “Maybe we shouldn’t blam the alcohol. Maybe we should thank it.” He pointed out and she nodded. “I pag-ibig you, Mr. Laurie.” She sinabi stroking his scruff. “I pag-ibig you too Mrs. Laurie.” 3 hours after she had the twins she put up a fuss and discharged herself from the hospital so she could go start filming season 6 like she promised. She was ‘one crazy women’ according to the magazines. According to the thousands of House fans she was their hero.
