Chapter 2: On the Road

‘I’m so excited and I just can’t hide it!’, Lisa sang jumping up and down in her seat. A big bus was driving 30 people from the cast and crew of House to Lake Arrowhead. They were going to shoot some scenes for episode 6x07 there during the susunod four days. ‘We know you are excited, can you please calm down a bit I’m trying to catch up on some sleep.’, Robert replied. His daughter had kept him up all night and he was really tired. He should’ve known better than to go and sit susunod to Lisa. Hugh and David were sitting opposite from them, a small mesa was in between.

‘If you wanted to sleep you should’ve gone sitting in the back. But you know what, I’m going to try and be silent…’, Lisa sinabi and started to stare through the window. ‘Ooh! Little rabbits!’, she squealed after a minute. Robert sighed and tried to cover his ears, while David and Hugh laughed. ‘They are so cute! There’s a mother rabbit and a lot of small fluffy ones!’, Lisa sinabi happily. Hugh smiled at the woman in front of him, she was as happy as a 6-year old going on her first school trip. A lot of people found it annoying, but Hugh thought it was adorable.

Robert got out of his upuan and Lisa immediately gave him a sad look accompanied with puppy-dog eyes. ‘Yeah, well grandpa needs some sleep, you kids have fun.’, Robert sinabi and walked away. In that moment David got a call and also left his upuan and walked away. Lisa pouted a little. Hugh also got up from his upuan and Lisa looked at him with big eyes ‘You aren’t going to leave too are you?’, Lisa asked sadness audible in her voice. ‘I’m not going anywhere.’, Hugh replied smiling and sat down susunod to her. Lisa smiled again.

‘So where are those rabbits?’, he asked. ‘I don’t think we can see them anymore now, but maybe there will be other ones and maybe we’ll also see some of those wild animals.’, she said. ‘I think I’m already seeing one…’, Hugh sinabi looking intensely at Lisa. She laughed and smacked his arm. ‘So what kind of wild animal are you seeing?’, Lisa asked him playfully. ‘Well, I was thinking a lion, but then I looked madami closely and now I think it is a tiger. A baby tiger to be exact. I mean, you know it can become dangerous in the future when you come to close, but now you can’t help wanting to be close because it looks so adorable and happy and cuddle-able, is that even a word?’, Hugh asked blushing. Lisa was also blushing, ‘I-I don’t know…’ she stuttered. ‘I don’t think you have to be scared of baby mga tigre though, because even though all they want is a good piece of meat, they won’t devour it, they just want to lick and nibble it and give it little bites.’, she sinabi and winked. Hugh smiled at her, ‘They do, don’t they?’ Lisa giggled and nodded.

They both relaxed in their seats and stared through the window. ‘Maybe we should also get some sleep…’, Hugh sinabi after a while. ‘I don’t want to… I’m not really tired.’, she replied a little sad because Hugh wanted to sleep. ‘I know you aren’t, but it’s only 7am and it’s going to be a long day.’, Hugh sinabi and smiled a little when he saw her pout. Why did she have to be so cute? ‘You’re right, maybe we should…, but there are no pillows here. I can’t sleep without a pillow…’, she said. ‘I think we can improvise…’, Hugh sinabi as he shifted in his upuan a little then pulled her against his chest, while she squealed out of surprise. Hugh wrapped his arms around her while she snuggled a little bit madami into him. ‘You comfortable?’, he asked. Lisa smiled and giggled, ‘Yes, you’re one big softie.’ Hugh laughed a little, ‘That’s because I gained some weight since I quit smoking, but you can’t complain you’re the one who made me do that.’ ‘I’m not complaining, I’m very proud of you and I don’t mind you having those little pag-ibig handles.’, she giggled while she was softly poking in his side with one finger. Hugh smirked and Lisa cuddled him a little madami while closing her eyes. After a few minutos Hugh could feel and hear her breathing even out. ‘Sleep tight, my baby tiger, it’s gonna be a long day…’, he whispered, he quickly looked around him to see if anyone was watching and then placed a soft halik on tuktok of her head.
