There are all different kinds of love. Jack was her first love and a piece of her heart will always belong to him, but that doesn't mean she couldn't have fallen in love again with the man she married, and for that love to be just as true as her love with Jack.

No,definetly NO!! She complained to Jack how she doesnt love Cal and that is why she tried to jump!! And then at the end spits in Cals face and says "I'd rather be his whore then your wife!" There is NO love between Cal and Rose

Folks, Cal wasn't Rose's husband. She married a Mr. Calvert in the 1920s. The funny guy on the ship said so at the beginning. "I traced her history all the way back to the 20s when she was an actress...an actress, there's your first clue, Sherlock. Her name was Rose Dawson back then. Then she married this guy named Calvert, they move to Cedar Rapids and she punches out a couple of kids" Rose survived on her own until she was at least 30. She didn't have to get married. She wanted to. She promised Jack she'd live her life fully. That included marriage and babies. Jack may have been the love of her life, but she was essentially "widowed" at 17. People go on. Her heart went on. She wanted love and companionship. I'm sure Calvert was a worthy man whom she loved, be he her soul mate or not. Yes, she loved Calvert but in a different way. Her not telling him about Jack was really an act of kindness; she didn't want her husband to feel he had to compete with her lost love. I'm sure everything can be worked out in heaven. It is heaven, after all.

Jack was the only guy for Rose and you can tell she loves him. Rose wanted to live her life with Jack and be Jack's wife and mother of Jack's children. It's obvious that her husband, whoever he was, competed with Jack for Rose if he didn't know it. She loved Jack more then she loved her husband. Rose only loved Jack because she took his name. There is a reason why the movie ended with Rose marrying Jack and not her husband. She was still in love with Jack until the day she died. He knew she was still in love with Jack. Jack was the only guy for Rose.

The movie was recounting Rose and Jack's relationship, so she saw Jack at the end. That doesn't mean she wouldn't have seen her husband at some point. You don't spend decades with a spouse and not have feelings for them. People can love more than once in a lifetime. No one would ever remarry after the death of a spouse if that weren't so. Rose took Calvert's name, too. Yes, Jack was her first great love, but you can love again if you're lucky and if you're open to it.

No, i believe that Rose felt the deepest love for Jack. I'm not saying she didn't love her husband, but in my opinion she probably liked Jack more. He was her first love. And in the end when she dies, and then sees Jack again is what really makes it clear she loves him still, and always will.

I think that because at the end of the movie, she is imagining heaven or something and she sees JACK not her husband.

Well, she apparently had kept Jack's memory secret all her life. Makes me think she either was hurting too much for losing him or he was for some other reason too special to be shared with others she loved. I think she knew she was dying very soon, so she decided to leave a record of Jack for the world in a form of a story.

But I'm not saying that she didn't love Calvert. She did, very much. We know because she married him! I think Rose, of all people, would not just settle on a person to marry. But a love like she found with Jack is rare, and I doubt she found it a second time.

She probably was in love with him and everything that,but in my opinion you can love someone just one time in your life.Other times and just falling in love!

I think Rose is the typical woman who can't stay with a man without loving him, so I believe she loved her husband as Jack, but in a different way.
Besides, she lives her story with Jack in a different period of her life: she was younger and more istinctive, while she was more mature when she married her husband.
Obviously she always remembers Jack as her first true love.

I think jack was rose's true love/soulmate, but I do think she loved her husband, but it wasnt the same way she loved jack. Jack and Rose would of been together if he hadnt died.
