“Sweetie, thank you so much for coming to support your fiancé” I heard my mom say behind me.
“He’s not my fiancé” I sinabi through my teeth.
“The past is the past; you need to get over it”
“Well since the past is the past, you should have already got over Kevin”
I sinabi it. And right up to my mother’s face. Kevin was my dad and he also died in a car crash five years nakaraan but his was quite different. You see, the police never really found a body but the way the car was crumbled, they sinabi he must have crushed him alive. If he didn’t die it would have been their 45th weeding anniversary as a couple but I guess that didn’t happen. My mom arranged for Cody and me to be married on their anniversary too but as you can see that didn’t happen too. I could see it from her eyes she wasn’t over it. I then noticed other people in the room and I asked my mother.
“Who are these people?”
“ Denise Jonas, Paul Jonas, mother and father of Nicholas Jerry Jonas” She used her hands and indicated each one of them as she sinabi their name and each of them bowed except Nicholas who was obviously too hurt to move.
“Nice to meet you, princess ’’ sinabi the couple and they hid underneath fake smiles but obviously they were not too fond of my attitude.
“You too but I can’t marry your son-”
“She will, she has no choice, she has to do it” sinabi Chelsea in a very snobby but still strict tone, who was the leader of the mistresses. I looked over at Nicholas who was watching my every move. His arm was bounded and besides that was the only injury he had. I glanced over to the corner of the room to see Selena sitting with her head in her hands. Sometimes I wished that Selena and I would switch lives. I mean, I am sure she would pag-ibig being a princess and all and would of pag-ibig marrying this man. But there were just some things in life that you can’t forget and stop you from living your life to the fullest. Then I looked at Nicholas carefully and realized he had a strong resemblance of the boy at the gate.
“Where’s the other one?” I asked noticing as soon as I sinabi that trouble started alarming in Denise and Paul eyes.
“You mean Joe, Joseph?” Nick spoke weakly.
