It was weak, very weak. I turned around and fear struck me out of no where. It was him, the boy, Joseph. His skin was pale, his beautiful wavy hair was a mess and his eyes which were red were filled with sorrow and pain. It was like he wasn’t alive. I could feel tears swelling up in my eyes; his figure reminded me of Cody and with that I remembered something. It took me back three years nakaraan on the most devastating night of my life.

How could this have happened to me I thought to myself as just one thing made my good, no, great life come crashing down. I had never been able to cope with death since father. My mind was set on how perfect this night would be like a fairytale. Cody was lying in the hospital bed, motionless and I were kneeling down holding his hand. Tears were streaming out of my eyes and I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up to see Selena looking as awful as I imagined I was. Her eyes were red and hair messy; she kneeled down susunod to me.
“How is he?”
“Coma”
“You know sometimes, when you just say a word of prayer; everything will turn out fine”
“No, not this time” I sinabi getting up wiping my tears and going over to Cody and gently placing my lips on his ; our last kiss. I started walking to the door as my dress swept the floor.
“Demi?’ I heard Selena call after me but I ignored her and step through the door.

“Why did you run away?’
“Huh’ I sinabi snapping back to reality.
“Why did you run at the palace?”
I looked at him confused and took a step pasulong so that I was standing beside his bed. I then turned walking around his kama looking at him at every angle and his eyes followed. Then I turned to him and say,
“Your in the hospital and yet your worried about me?’’
“I don’t care about you, a spoiled princess running away from the castle, its things you wouldn’t expect”
My face got red with anger. I have never heard someone speak of me that way especially someone you just met.
“You got a nerve speaking about me like that and you don’t even know me” I sinabi stepping closer to him.
“You got a mansion, money and things people would die for, not to mention a fiancé”
“I would rather trade everything I have just to have a normal life like you”
“ Say what you say but the reality is , you will never have a normal life, you don’t know what it is to work for something like the rest of us , you will always have the easy way out.”
