uy everyone! Okay, since my blog/website closed I don't really want to write long artikulo anymore. Just going to write when I will have strong topic. Now I somehow have started to like telling short stories about different things I have made and posting pictures. Since you liked my art mga manika I just tought that I will continue bringing you some inspiration and hope you like what I make and it gives you ideas on how to bring madami joy and brightness into your life. Just like a sequel to the "Big Inspiration Book". Anyway, probably you already saw huge yellow dreamcatcher from pictures of my pader in my nakaraan post. But lets start from the beginning.
I really pag-ibig making dreamcatchers. It's relaxing and creative process and the result is a wonderful room decoration. According to old Indian culture legends, once a teacher of wisdom appeared in the form of gagamba and made a huge web saying: "Use the web to help yourself and your people ... to reach your goals and make use of your people's ideas, dreams and visions. If you believe in the Great Spirit, the web will catch your good ideas, and the bad ones will go through the hole." Later people started to make dreamcatchers, round loops with web inside and beads and feathers hanging under it, believing that they protects them and their children from bad toughts, emotions, nightmares and bring inspiration, wisdom, positive emotions and good dreams. With time dreamcatchers became popular in all the world.
Probably now you understand why I pag-ibig them so much. Anyway, here is probably the biggest dreamcatcher I have ever made, you can see how big it is compared to my hand in the last picture. The basic idea I had when I made it was to create a little sun in my room, a suncatcher that will bring rays positive brightness to me. Making of it took quite a long time - around 3 days of wrapping a fine yarn tightly around embroidery loop, making the web and braiding the lower part. Now when it has been in my room for a while already, I can really say that it does it's function sa pamamagitan ng bringing me positivity, inspiring me to realize different ideas and creating the atmosphere of my life the way I want it to be. Anyway, pictures can say madami than 1000 words. ☀️
