You know what I've never understood? Some people like to claim that LP's story is all about re-writing history, and is mostly based off of things that we never really saw happen, right?

And a big thing that I've heard that concept applied to is Peyton's role in Lucas' UKOR book. People say that it doesn't make sense, doesn't coordinate with the timing of Lucas Pagsulat it in high school, that he wrote about all of the characters, not just Peyton, her supposedly being such a big part of the book was forced...blah, blah, blah. Basically they just mock the book supposedly being all about Peyton & LP.

Yet, wasn't it kind of re-writing history to suddenly introduce to us in season 6 that Brooke was "the other half" of the book? What? Since when? All throughout season 5, into season 6, and even during some of season 4 we had heard all about how the book was about Peyton/LP. Not half of the book, ALL of the book.

Quotes ABOUT the book:
"Okay. All I can tell you is that the way Lucas wrote you, it's not hard to tell how much he loves you. Trust me." -Glenda

"Can I ask you something? The 'Lucas & Peyton' in the novel...? Thats too bad, I was rooting for them." -Lindsey

"You sinabi I was great! You sinabi I could be great, you sinabi we were destined to be together! You sinabi it to the world! You sinabi it to me! And I wish you never had, because you did not mean any of it!" -Peyton

"You're Peyton Sawyer! The guy wrote a WHOLE book about how much he loves you!" -BROOKE

"I've read it honey, I know how it ends." // "That's funny, because it seems like Lucas has forgotten." -Brooke/Peyton

"When I first saw my closet door, I knew it was special. But then I read this book, and I realized I was part of this... timeless pag-ibig story." -Molly

"Molly, I am not someone you want to live vicariously through, okay? I'm a mess." // *holding up the book* "Lucas Scott didn't think so! And besides, even if you are... no one's ever gonna write a book about my life." -Molly

"I spent a taon editing a book that was basically a pag-ibig letter to her." -Lindsey

"I watched how caring, and meticulous Lucas was with the words he chose for her. Like he was still holding onto her." -Lindsey

"It's clear in the book that if you're not Lucas or Peyton, you should just forget it." -Brooke

"I told you I was rooting for the couple in the book" -Lindsey

"You know how personal that book is... the stuff with us... Keith..." -Lucas

"What's the book about?" // "Me, sort of." -Julian/Peyton

Quotes FROM the book:
"Peyton Sawyer is destined for greatness. Actually, she's already great. Because Peyton Sawyer has a thing called integrity, and nothing and no one is ever going to change that. I remember the first time I met her..."

"Suddenly, it was as if roar of the crowd, the echo of the final buzzer, the cheers of my teammates were all sounding from a thousand miles away. And what remained in that bizarre, muffled silence was only Peyton, the girl whose art, passion, and beauty had changed my life. In that moment, my triumph was not a state championship, but simple clarity. The realization that we had always been meant for each other, and every instinct to the contrary had simply been a denial of the following truth. I was now, and would always be, in pag-ibig with Peyton Sawyer.”

...So those are the mga panipi we were given, that prove just how significant the book is for LEYTON. And then there's also the simple fact that we see numerous times in season 5 that Peyton bought every copy of the book she saw. She even caried it around with her. Do you really think that would be the case, if the book was just as much about Brooke, as it was about her? Yeah, that makes total sense. I'm sure Peyton would want 10 copies of a book that's half about the boy she loves, and his pag-ibig for her best friend lol.

So we have ALL of these references, quotes, and facts pointing to LP's connection to UKOR, right? As opposed to what, ONE reference in 4x21 ("Brooke Davis is going to change the world") to Brooke being in the book? And then suddenly 6x08 comes around, and we find out that Brooke is supposedly "the other half"?!? Like seriously, WTF? What evidence (out of ALL the references to the book) have we EVER been ibingiay that supports this? Mind you that Brooke herself had even already sinabi in the season before that the "WHOLE" book is about how much he loves Peyton.

Talk about re-writing history, and magically throwing something in there that we never saw proof of before, and that makes no sense whatsoever. It was clearly just Mark throwing BL fans a bone. And the fact that they actually use that quote against us whenever we bring up the two books for LP is just crazy to me. Not to mention totally hypocritical, considering that they always rag on LP for supposedly re-writing history.
