Default State of The Fleet Address 2009

Subject: State of the Fleet Address
While it has been some time since I have addressed the Fleet in this manner, I feel it is appropriate to reference this quote from Mohandas Gandhi: “A small body of determined spirits fired sa pamamagitan ng an unquenchable faith in their mission can alter the course of history.” To date, what Lotus Fleet has accomplished is simply nothing madami than historic in the world of guilds and the bituin Trek community as a whole. While it is without a doubt that we have certainly had our trials, tribulations, heartaches, and tears of late, what remains intact is the overwhelming spirit of those who believe in what Lotus Fleet represents at its core. When I originally founded Lotus Fleet, my goal was simple; take the experience that I have gained in past MMOs as a member of other guilds and officer positions, and not make some of the common mistakes that ultimately forces the down-fall of those guilds, while at the same time create an environment that is both inviting and comfortable for new members to become accustomed to and feel at tahanan among strangers, and later close friends. Through that time, I have been gifted with the experience, dedication, and knowledge of many individuals that believe as I do, that we are in fact taking some of the first steps that humanity took within the bituin Trek universe to represent an environment in which people all over the world, despite distance, religious, or political difference, and even ego, can ultimately work towards a better world, a world that for our part is beginning right here at Lotus Fleet.
Some of the ways in which we have found great success to petsa has been through the use of technology, as well as putting into practice a great many experiments that are generally very difficult to accomplish. One such task was that of absorbing members of another guild who quite literally have an identity of their own and a way in which that identity is represented and perceived sa pamamagitan ng its members. As such, and because this was our first absorption, we are still learning a great deal that will only help to refine and repair any issues that will arise with future endeavors. Absorbing other Fleets is, sa pamamagitan ng no means, an easy task and requires a lot of time on the part of both Fleets' leadership and members to believe in such a task, as well as rise to the challenges that they are posed with. Unfortunately along the way, despite our greatest hopes, no matter how hard we try, not everyone can or will be pleased. For that I profusely apologize for our ignorance and inexperience in this matter. I hope that those who do see issues and concerns will take the time to point them out in a dignified manner that will allow us to improve our own processes thereby ultimately leaving their own mark on what helps to define Lotus Fleet.
Lotus Fleet means a great deal to me as well as to others that have dedicated their time and efforts to its cause. Many of us have experienced things that we have never experienced in the past. Many of us have experienced feelings of anger, frustration, and happiness during the existence of Lotus Fleet. What remains intact is the avoidance of self-centered, ego-driven, discourse that only works to derail this great community's efforts. Lotus Fleet's leadership is made up of individuals whose combined knowledge adds up to many years of MMO experience, real life leadership experience, military training, and higher education such as 4 taon college degrees. To sum all of those skills up, what we have are a group of people who are loyal, dedicated, logical, and incredibly willing to go to any length to ensure Lotus Fleet's future existence. To that end, we have not, and will not, always agree on every single subject. However, that is not a failure on our part; it is simply the reality of being human. In the end, we have some very smart and talented individuals that have the innate ability to think far outside the box and come to a logical conclusion that, in almost every case, settles the concerns of everyone involved and thereby furthering Lotus Fleet's ability to successfully operate as a guild while maintaining a hierarchy that is both respected and clearly understood.
In conclusion, this Fleet's State, and its ability, has and is much stronger since the last time I addressed this Fleet. However, while we continue to work towards ensuring the continued success of Lotus Fleet, we must also remind ourselves that, in the end, Lotus Fleet is a juggling act that must be constantly maintained. Every ilipat and every decision made must be evaluated thoroughly to ensure that it does not ultimately place us down a road in which we will have great difficulty veering away from. For that, a great amount of trust must be placed in the members, their leaders, and ultimately myself and this Fleet's Executive Officer to know that, in the end, we only wish to do what is best for what we believe so strongly in; that no matter the conclusion, every issue is always up for discussion and resubmission of new ideas; every concern is no less important than any other and, in the end, while one issue must be tabled for the immediate time, that is not to say that a venue in which it can be re-analyzed will never re-emerge.
Thank you
