The following morning, Michael woke me up.
"Becky, Becky?" He whispered gently in my ear. The sound of his voice tickled my ear drum and I opened my eyes. Michael was standing above me and it made me jerk back in shock.
"Sorry.. Didn't mean to scare you.." He apologised. I looked down, embarrassed.
"It's ok.. What are we doing today Michael?" I asked.
"Nothing much I'm afraid, just a Neverland araw today, but yo can pick what we do if you want to." Michael smiled.
"Sure Michael. That sounds great." I smiled back. Michael took my hand and pulled me up out of bed. I wobbled a little from tiredness but nothing major. I went to get ready, and while I was doing so, I heard Michael talking to himself. I crept over to the room Michael was standing in and listened to what he had to say.
"What can I do for her birthday? My very best friend..? What can I do?!" He panicked. I carried on listening.
"My best friend is turning 15 in a week and I have no idea what to do for her!" he continued. I decided to let it be known I was there. I walked back, stomping my feet as loudly as I could and Michael stopped talking.
"Hi Mike." I greeted innocently.
"Hi Becky. Ready to go?" Michael asked. I nodded my head.
"Sure Michael. Lets go." I replied. We headed outside to Neverland. And it was a lot fun really, we went to the cinema, we went to the zoo and petted all the animals, and we went on the fairground rides too.
"Becky?" Michael called to me.
"Yes Michael?" I replied.
"If you could have anything in this world for your birthday, what would it be?" Michael asked. I had a long hard thought.
"You know what? I don't want a present. Being best mga kaibigan with you is enough of a present. I miss my family, but you are my present. Being best mga kaibigan with the best person I can think of." I told him. He took my response and thought long and hard about it.
"That's sweet of you Becky. It really is, but there must be something?" Michael asked.
"Michael.. I can't think, honestly. Apart from you and my family, there is nothing else in this world that matters." I replied. Michael kept quiet after that. He was think hard about what to do for my birthday. And to be honest, I was too. I was 15 in a week, and I was really intrigued as to what would happen. Me and Michael went back inside. For the rest of the evening we watched TV and played Monopoly. sa pamamagitan ng the time bedtime arrived, I was fighting to keep my eyes open.
"Lets get you to bed." Michael told me, lifting me up in his arms and carrying me to bed. He tucked me in one we were there and kissed my forehead.
"Goodnight Michael.." I whispered, weak from tiredness.
"Goodnight Princess." Michael replied. He was about to leave before I called on him again.
"I pag-ibig you.." I told him. Michael smiled sweetly, walked over to the door and walked through it before poking his head back in the room. He responded with:
"I pag-ibig you more.."
