There have been many kamakailan rumors flying around the internet, some of them true, some of them false, as to who will play the characters of the upcoming Mortal Instruments series. This is my cast list, as of now, that is most likely subject to change over the coming weeks.

Jace Wayland - Alex Pettyfer
-Though it hasn't been confirmed yet, there are a lot of people that would like to see Alex play Jace. He is also in talks of playing Peeta Mellark in The Hunger Games, but I think the character of Jace is a role that he could perfect. When pagbaba the books, Alex was the first person I imagined as Jace.

Clary Fray - Lily Collins
-It's official; Lily Collins has been cast as Clary. I have to say that I was a little disappointed that they didn't choose a natural redhead to play Clary, but I'm happy with the choice of Lily all the same. I think she will do a great job.

Simon Lewis - Thomas Dekker
-When choosing an actor to play Simon, I considered not only if he would look good standing susunod to Clary/Lily, but also with Isabelle. They have an almost-fling in the book and I think it's important to get that right. Thomas would look good with Lily or Kaya Scodelario, my Isabelle pick.

Alec Lightwood - Gaspard Ulliel
-Black hair, blue eyes, and handsome. Gaspard seems to fit the bill for Alec perfectly. He has a slight edge with a softer side to his personality. He has a mysterious and almost sort of sad look to his handsome face, which makes him perfect for the spot. He is a definite must for this cast list.

Isabelle Lightwood - Kaya Scodelario
-Like her brother, Isabelle needs to have an edgy sort of personality. She is a strong character who knows what she wants and how to take care of herself. Kaya not only has this personality, but she also looks the part. She would be perfect to be cast as Gaspard's little sister. She's pretty and feminine, but is also a risk taker.

Magnus Bane - Darren Criss
-Half Filipino and amazingly gorgeous, Darren Criss is another actor that this movie cannot go without. If dressed up properly, Darren could act as Magnus with no problems at all. It would be nice to see him play a role that is not so perfect and nice all the time. He's sarcastic and confident, two characteristics that would be nice to see Darren play out.
