Blurred Lines sealed the deal for me. I feel like pop music almost objectifies women, even the women of pop seem to objectify themselves I mean look at Minaj and Miley. It seems as if pop is becoming more about sex appeal than the actual songs. I mean don't get me wrong, I still love a good amount of them music, but I feel like the messages are becoming poorer and poorer. Which is why I love Symphonic Metal, that genre uses music to tell enchanting tales and meaningful stories.

I really dont have that much of an opinion in this matter but from what I've listened to is just so negative and degrating to many points. I want to say that a lot of the music is just what the?! Yes there are some songs that don't fit to the category of negativity but damn! So much repatative garbage I hear from the radio, its insanity. In which I haven't really listen to many. I wonder whats the next generation of music. Probably more offensive things ?

Exactly, a good amount of it is degrading. Blurred Lines is my prime exsample. And a lot of it is about loveless sex, drugs, etc. I hope for the best but expect the worst. I feel like pop started going down hill when I was in middle school; in about 2008 (when most everything became rap, rap, rap), I think it's gotten a bit better but not by much. I wish there was more variety.
