I'm not sure which episode although i could go look LOL, but i'll take the ones above me and say 26-27 as they seem to know what they're on about :)
As for what brought it on - Naruto was mimicking and taking the mick out of the teacher. Probably to ipakita he wasn't as scared as she thought he should be :P but you know Naruto, not afraid of anything that dude.

yes i guess it was 27 and what brought this behaviour is konahamaru i guess...bcs he was following naruto but i am sot so sure so dont count on it xD

The Chūnin Exam Stage 2: The Forest of Death (第二試験スタート！周りはみんな敵だらけ, Daini shiken sutāto! Mawari wa minna teki darake ) is episode 27 of the original Naruto anime and manga chapters 45-46.

Synopsis; Anko briefs the candidates on their goal for the segundo portion of the exam. All teams will be ibingiay one scroll (either heaven or earth), with the objective being to take the other scroll from another team and proceed to the tower in the center of the Forest of Death and the susunod stage of the exams. The proctor, Anko, hands out scrolls and opens the forest gates. As they enter, Naruto's team is attacked almost immediately.

as for the picture it's when naruto does a dumb impression of Anko repeating what she just sinabi to prove that he's not scared of the forest at all. watch 1:55-2:15 of this video.
