Although I don't like how video games take up so much of my time, I can't help not liking them. I pag-ibig once in a while to pulled into some other world whether it's sa pamamagitan ng book or whatever. I hate games that look good so then you play them and then waste your time because it's really nothing special. Well I can say Okami is NOT one of those games, you will never play a game madami original on the wii( or PS2 but that would be a waste) and if you haven't played it and you like action adventure RPG's this is perfect.
Story:
The story is not the strong point of Okami, at least it wasn't anything really special although it still had it's humerus scenes. Basically it has to do with celestial gods and what not. Really I wasn't to focused on most of the story too much because most of the fun I had came out of the game play. Anyway I could go into detail about the story but it's long and somewhat complicated and it would bore you to death. All you need to know is that you play as a lobo named Amaterasu
Uniqueness:
What makes Okami so unique? Well if you played then you know it's the brush techniques and the style the game was done in and I personally loved it. The game was first released on the PS2 as you probably know and I don't get why. The brush techniques were such a huge part of the game and on the PS2 it took FOREVER to draw them. Nintendo's console was perfectly suited for it with it's motion controls and it makes the game a lot madami fun.
Length:
Well the length of this game was about
perfect for me. On your first go it'll probably take you roughly 30 hours. I would have personally preferred 40 hours and so I took MANY detours to make the game 37 hours. There are a lot of hidden extra stuff which I personally loved, it makes it re-playable to try to get what you missed. The creators must of also felt this way because they give you a special option when you beat it the first time.
Impact:
Most Rpg's usually leave an impact because I get drawn onto the story, Okami didn't have that but it had almost everything else and did a great job of it. I would rank this game in my tuktok ten. Not tuktok three but if they make a sequel on the main console (not okamiden) then it could become my tuktok two.
Graphics:
The graphics are ok, but the color is better on the wii so just one madami reason to play it on wii. It would have really been nice if this game had HD graphics because there was some slow down and at times things looked blurry.
Gameplay:
I've never played a game with better gameplay. The controls for me worked perfectly and it kept the game at a fast pace. You could listen to the story or you could just skip it which I liked to have when cut scenes ran on a bit. I had no big problems.
Overall:
This was a short explination and that's because there isn't too much to say you really just have to play it. However if you want to get a bit madami info than go to the link below.
Okami was great from start to finish, the only negative thing I have to say is the story was a bit messed but other than that perfect
EXCEPT for the one problem of it being a bit too easy. The game really could have had madami of a challenge because I didn't die once through the whole thing. Not even close and that was a bit lame.
