I know that the popular theory is that August wrote the book, and that makes sense, since he is a writer. However, I get the feeling that the book is one of a kind, not something you can buy in a store. That means that he would have had to either deliver or send it to storybrooke. While that is certainly possible, I have some other suspects who I think may have written the book.
1. Rumplestiltskin: He seemed to want the curse broken, and the book would help do that. He is also a master manipulator, so Im sure he would have no problem making sure that the book got into the hands of Henry, who...
