SUCCESS ON X FACTOR
One Direction, thrown together sa pamamagitan ng Simon Cowell, were made up from a collection of contestants who didn’t manage to make it through the boot camp stage of auditions last year.
Though they were a ‘Cowell made band’ it didn’t seem to do them much harm as they went all the way to the final.
Even though they didn’t win they managed to secure a reported £2million recording contract with Simon Cowell – not bad for coming third.
Cher Lloyd almost didn’t make it through to the live shows stage of the competition after suffering from a throat infection at the judge’s houses.
The 18-year-old from Worcestershire was regarded as the mini-me to Cheryl Cole – who took a shining to her rather un-X Factor like style and supported her all the way to the final.
Cher, a bit of a Marmite performer with the public, made it through to the finals but only managed fourth place.
Round one winner: One Direction
SHAKING OFF THE X FACTOR IDENTITY - WHO'S A CLONE
One Direction have a bit of a mountain to climb if they want to shake off their X Factor identity, especially considering they were pretty much manufactured before our eyes sa pamamagitan ng Cowell.
The music mogul was their mentor on the ipakita and also signed them to his label afterwads.
They still have a cloned boyband feel to them which will take a bit of time to shake off.
Cher Lloyd managed to carve out her own style on X Factor appearing less like a clone than many of the other contestants.
The singer/rapper has already managed to have a number one single with Swagger Jagger and has worked with Lady Gaga’s music producer RedOne.
Cher is hardly churning out covers songs that’s for sure.
Round two winner: Cher Lloyd
SOCIAL NETWORK SUCCESS
The Swagger Jagger singer seems to have had a bit of a rough ride when it comes to social networking.
It’s certainly not uncommon for Cher to hit back at her ‘haters’ on Twitter – which can’t help but fuel the fire.
Twitter users have even attacked Cher for her number 1 single saying it sounds ‘like a Black Eyed Peas acid house remix of Little Donkey’.
Cher has a knack of rubbing social networkers up the wrong way and somehow manages to attract a lot of hate.
The boys seem to have a little madami success on Twitter.
With their debut single being aired on Radio 1 this week, the Twittersphere went wild as the One Direction fans came out in support of the lads.
One Direction have had a large tagahanga base on Twitter since they were on X Factor so it’s hardly surprising.
Round three winner: One Direction
pangkalahatang winner: Cher might have swagger, but this week's winner is One Direction.

I panicked and rang Harry. 'Hello' he said. I started to cry 'Harry I'm lost' I really started to panick then. 'It's ok. Tell me what you can see' he told me 'A really big house' he paused 'I think that's Simon's house. Knock and check' I ran up and rang the doorbell. Simon answered 'Hey it's Kate! Harry's girlfriend' I said. 'Oh hi Kate! Are you ok?' he asked. 'Not really. I'm sorta Nawawala but Harry's coming to collect me' I told him. 'Come inside he told me' I came in and he gave me a Galaxy cookie crumble and a can of coke. We talked for about 10 minutos when there was a knock at the door. I answered it. It was Harry! 'Harry!!!!!!!' I sinabi as I jumped into his arms. 'I'm so happy to see you' I told him. I fell asleep on the way back to the hotel I was so tired! Leah was sitting in the lobby when I got back. 'KATE' she roared running towards me. I moved out of the way so she wouldn't run into me. She fell over into a water fountain. 'Whoops' I said.
WHILE X Factor pal CHER LLOYD seeks attention with new tattoos, ONE DIRECTION do it with T-shirts.
HARRY STYLES stepped out in Liverpool with a declaration of pag-ibig for bandmate LOUIS TOMLINSON emblazoned on his chest.
The grey tuktok was printed with both their first names, separated sa pamamagitan ng a red heart.
When the boys hit LA in January, 19-year-old Louis also got in on the action.
The cheeky chappy boldly wore a white tuktok with 'Cheryl, call me.... x' on it.
My guess is she didn't.

One Direction raking cash
They didn’t even win the XFactor, coming third, and they’ve yet to release a CD but boyband One Direction featuring our very own Irish lad Niall Horan are already raking in the cash. Simon Cowell has signed them up and it appears they received a gesture of £8,000 (€9,321) already with the label investing over £2 Million into the band.
It’s espected the band will get floods of endorsement offers that will further enhance their bank accounts – a number of computer games and fashion houses are sinabi to be interested in using the popular band in their advertising campaigns. They’re currently in L.A., shopping til they shop, and working with some tuktok music producers.

X FACTOR'S coolest new boyband One Direction have got us dreaming about their tour.
We screamed for One Direction every single week of the X Factor 2010.
And the boys were back on stage in Scotland last night reminding us fans exactly why we pag-ibig them so much.
Harry, Niall, Louis, Liam and Zayn drove the crowd crazy at the HMV Picture House in Edinburgh, belting out Viva La Vida, Forever Young, Torn, Chasing Cars and Only Girl (In the World).
And the lads are now getting excited about their potential UK stadium tour - (cue massive scream).
Niall tweeted: "Our first trip to scotland it was absolutely incredible, can't wait to come back for the tour."
Well we can't wait to see you lovely lads. Bring. It. On.
