Niall Horan Fanfic Chapter 23: Where Have You Been

I woke up early the susunod morning. My sleeping schedule was all out of whack since the tour ended. I was used to early mornings so I went into the kusina and made breakfast. My parents were at work so I didn’t have to deal with them all day. My phone rang. It was Niall.

“Hey babe.” He said.

“Hey there.” I answered.

“What are you up to?” he asked me.

“Nothing really, just making breakfast.” I said.

“Can I come over?” he said.

“Yeah, no one’s home.” I said.

“Cool I’ll be there soon.” He said.

We hung up and I kept cooking waiting for Niall. I heard the door open and figured it was him. He had a spare key to my house. I felt arms balutin around my waist and turned the see to beautiful blue eyes staring at me.

“Is the pagkain done?” he asked.

“Almost.” I sinabi laughing.

“What time is the hapunan tonight?” he said.

“Uh, we need to be there sa pamamagitan ng four.” I said.

“Who eats at four?” he said.

“They do, it’s like some weird family tradition. I never questioned it.” I said.

“What’s the dress code?” he said.

“Nothing fancy, like jeans and a polo?” I said.

“Cool, and should I be on my best behavior?” he asked with a grin.

“YES! That means no hand holding, kissing, hugging, flirting, or touching.” I said.

“So I should pretend I don’t like you?” he sinabi with a goofy pout.

“No, but Ally’s parents aren’t into that stuff. Ally wasn’t allowed to petsa until she was like 17, she never had a boyfriend. She didn’t make it that long.” I sinabi trailing off at the end.

“Fine, I won’t do anything stupid.” He said.

“Good.” I sinabi halik him on the cheek.

We sat down and ate. Niall and I never really talked when we ate; our mouths were always too full. He loved to watch me eat. I don’t know why, but he sinabi that he liked the fact I wasn’t afraid to pig out in front of him.

When we finished eating we went for a run around the block. We were listening to our iPod’s so again we weren’t talking. That’s what I loved about Niall and I’s relationship. We didn’t have to be talking to each other all the time. We could just hang out and do normal stuff, without silence making it awkward.

When we got back from our jog I ran up and took a paliguan while Niall went back to his hotel to pick up his clothes for tonight. He was going to drive me since my parents didn’t care enough to come. sa pamamagitan ng the time I was out he was already back.

“Well talk about an oras long shower.” He joked pulling me into his lap.

“You know I contemplate life while I’m in the shower.” I sinabi laughing.

“You smell nice.” He sinabi sniffing my hair.

“Stop sniffing me you crazy.” I sinabi giggling.

Niall started to tickle me so we ended up in a laughing fest on the floor. Then he practiced braiding my hair, only to tie it in a knot. We finally decided to watch a movie. He picked Finding Nemo. sa pamamagitan ng the end of the movie he was sobbing into my shoulder.

“Niall, it’s a fish.” I said.

“I know, but his dad loved him so much.” He sinabi wiping his cheeks.

“Go get dressed.” I sinabi smiling.

Niall ran into the bathroom, and I went into my bedroom. I was wearing my black skinny jeans, with a flowy kulay-rosas top, with my studded black flip flops. I was just wearing my hair straight, and since Niall was hogging the bathroom; I wasn’t going to put on any make-up.

Niall was wearing a light kulay-rosas polo shirt, and some kaki pants with red sneakers. The boy had a good fashion sense.

We were finally ready to go, so we hopped in the car and drove to Ally’s house. When we pulled up and I saw the house, my breath caught in my throat. I couldn’t do this. I wasn’t ready.

“Hazel, you’ll be fine. If it gets too much we can leave. Her parents will understand.” Niall sinabi grabbing my hand.

“It’ll never get better Niall. I’ll never be able to come here again. Last time I was here Ally and I were playing Just Dance 3 and messing around after we got back from the mall. She was alive.” I sinabi my eyes brimming with tears.

“Come here.” He sinabi pulling my head onto his chest.

I didn’t cry, I took a few deep breaths and composed myself. Niall squeezed my hand and we walked up to the house. Niall rang the doorbell. Ally’s mom came and answered. I collapsed into her arms. The tears were flowing now. She was crying too. Ally’s dad came over and ushered us inside. We sat down at the mesa for dinner. Niall sat susunod to me and held my hand under the table. I could not be happier that he came.

The atmosphere was really tense.

“We need to talk to you Hazel.” Ally’s dad finally said.

“About what?” I asked.

“Him.” He sinabi motioning toward Niall.

“What about him?” I sinabi getting angry.

“Ally was very upset about how you blow her off for Niall.” He said.

“What are you talking about? I never blew Ally off for Niall.” I said.

“You moved out of the country to tour with him.” He said.

“That was for my career. Not for Niall. Did you forget that I dance? Ally was never mad about that. She was happy for me. She was happy that I was happy.” I said.

“Yes, but when you started seeing him, she was always a segundo matter.” Ally’s mom chimed in.

“She was never a segundo matter! She was my best friend! Practically my sister! I never ditched her for Niall. I would never ditch her for Niall. I needed to make time for both of them. Ally understood that.” I shouted.

“Calm down, you’re only talking out of regret.” Ally’s dad said.

“REGRET!?” I practically screamed.

“Maybe if you were around more, you and Ally would have been together that day, and she would still be here.” He said.

“Are you seriously blaming her death on me!?” I sinabi tears welling up in my eyes.

“Not blaming, just reasoning.” Her dad said.

“I…I can’t believe you would say that. Nothing I could have done would make Ally still be here. It was her time to go, and she’s gone.” I said.

“Hazel, honey calm down. Why are you being so defensive?” Ally’s mom asked.

“Being defensive!? Are you serious? You are blaming Ally’s death my having a boyfriend and a career.” I said.

“Hazel-“ Ally’s mom said.

“Save it. I’m out of here.” I sinabi cutting her off.

Niall grabbed my hand and I rushed him out of the house. The segundo we got outside my legs caved in and I crashed to the ground. Niall scooped me up and carried me to the car. We started driving and all I could do was cry. How could they blame me for Ally’s death?

“Niall I’m so sorry.” I said.

“What? Why? You didn’t do anything.” He sinabi grabbing my hand.

“They just…I can’t…I don’t even know what just happened.” I said.

“If they want to blame her death on me, that’s fine. If it helps them cope thinking that if I was never around it wouldn’t have happened then they can.” He sinabi tracing small circles on the hand with his thumb.

“That was terrible.” I said.

“You’re okay.” He said.

“I was, but I’m not so sure anymore.” I said.

My phone rang.
