My opinion : Nothing can make me more angry than this. Like REALLY. I respect people who don't like Leyton but saying this is so irrelevant. First of all, these people don't understand the show and second Peyton and Lucas were connected to each other since 1x01 meaning way before Sophia and Chad dated. If Brooke and Lucas were meant to each other then they would have ended up together. Ian and Nina from TVD are seperated and still Delena are together. Si I'm sorry if you want to feel better about this but this isn't true and Mark Schawn even confessed once about this saying that Sophia and Chad were being really professional on set and that BL break up has nothing to do with the divorce.

To me this argument just doesn't make any sense considering how LP were written from the start, as well as in season 3. They were always meant to be together, I don't see how much clearer that could have been made.
Not to mention that this argument also disrespects Sophia, Chad and Mark.

this makes me so angry.
I mean Chad/Sophia HAD scenes together after the break up ,they were indeed professional (they even shared two kisses ,one in S5 flashback & one in Luca's fantasy in 6x01) so yeah that doesn't make any sense ,since they were professional if Mark wanted them to be together he would have written it .
I think he's also said that since the pilot he's made a world were Lucas & Peyton were destined to be together (or something like that!)
& what is more even in S3 that is supposed to be a Brucas season I think there's just SO MUCH LP build-up ;)

Even though I shipped Brucas more, and loved their scenes and their dynamic more, I always thought LP were meant to be together. I'm weird I know. :D

Leyton fans will disagree, but that's it: all that build up in s2-3 was not there just for fun and the LP kiss in 3x16 and Peyton's epiphany was just so rushed - they clearly had to change their idea (which, I have to admit, they already had changed because of Chad, who had insisted on B&L not being just a fling)

^BL were never just a fling, they had a love story. It's not because I'm a LP shipper that I disagree, it's because Mark said it himself and because Sophia and Chad were always able to stay professionnal out and on set. Moreover, the kiss in 3x16 was nothing but rushed. Peyton thought she would die and she always kept feelings for Lucas. When you think you're about to die, I don't see what's wrong with kissing the guy you love. During all seasons, you have a LP build up.

Brooke and Lucas were definitely meant to be, but the plan was always Leyton, sadly. The problem is that Brucas was written so well and written to almost seem like THEY were the endgame couple that Leyton post season 3 just kind of paled in comparison. JMO.

the ONLY REAL reason brucas weren't EBDGAME (like they should have been) is 100% becuase chad & sophia broke up in real life, yes the plan was always leyton i'm not saying it wasn't, but then they WENT with brucas because they were MORE POPULAR, it's been bulding up since S2, S3 was their confermation then in the whole thing happned with chad & sophia (stupid chad) and they went back to the plan out of respect to sophia & chad and they also add that whole brooke & nathan thing LAST minute just to make it fair game
