Big Boi & John Hood at Grand Central in Miami
"What's your name again?" "John Hood." "John hood is one cool motherfucker." That was Big Boi (natch), talking to me backstage at Grand Central, the end of a rapid-fire post-show chat. I'd thanked him for taking time out on my behalf; he thanked me with those street-sweet words. It wasn't like he was sucking up to the media, either. Hell, other than me, Big wasn't even doing any media that night. And he sure as shit doesn't need to stroke anybody's ego any time, for any reason whatsoever. But Big Boi does happen to "dig BlackBook." Apparently a certain hood now ranks somewhere in the mix, too.
