Today was the first araw of school. It was not a good day, or maybe it was, depending on how one looks at it. I got beat up, but I am glad that I took a beating for someone else. What happened was this. I saw some girls bullying the new girl. I walked up to the bullies and said, "Stop it! Why are you being so mean? What did this girl ever do to you?" The ring leader said, "Stay out of this, Grace! This doesn't concern you!" I said, "On the contrary, I think it does." Another one of the girls said, "She says she has Autism or some kind of enlightenment crap." I said, "That's no reason to be so mean! I cannot simply overlook this!" The ring leader said, "Anyway, we're going to beat her up. Go away if you can't watch." I said, "If you want to beat someone up, do it to me." The ring leader pushed me down. Before I could get up, she pinned me down. Her followers started beating me. One of them said, "Fight back, you coward!" I said, "You're the cowards! Four against one is not fair at all!" Just then, some of the teachers pulled them off of me. The girl I took the beating for helped me up. She said, "Are you okay?" I said, "I think so, considering the fact I only see a blur." She found my glasses and said, "It looks like they got broken in the process." I said, "That's what I was afraid of. Thankfully, I have spare glasses at home." Still, I wasn't too worried about that. My nose was bleeding, and I was sure that I was bruised. I said, "I think I should get to the nurse's office." The girl said, "I'll go with you, Grace." I said, "That's very kind of you, dear." She looked at me awkwardly. I said, "I'm sorry. I just don't know your name." She said, "Bridget." I said, "Well, thank you for your kindness, Bridget." She said, "I should be thanking you. You're very brave." We made it to the nurse's office. The nurse sinabi that I was fine, just badly bruised. I went on to my susunod class. When Michael and Sabrina saw me. They ran up to me to make sure I was okay. I told them I was fine. Michael said, "We just heard what happened. Are you sure you're okay?" I said, "Yeah, I'm fine." Sabrina said, "That was very bravo of you, Grace." I said, "I couldn't just stand and watch someone get beat up." When I came home, my aunt said, "Grace! What happened?! Who did this to you?!" I told her everything. She said, "That was bravo of you, but are you okay?" I said, "I'm fine, just really bruised." I put on my spare glasses and said, "The main pair got broken when I got beat up." I'm sure they'll be fixed soon. Still, it is nice that I can actually see clearly.

After Everett received his discharge papers and his crutches, Una asked him, "Are you hungry?" He said, "Yes, very." She said, "Okay. We'll get something to eat, then I'll take you home." After they ate hapunan at a burger joint, they went back to Everett's apartment. Una decided to stay with Everett so that she could help him with whatever he needed. Mrs. Stratton approved of Una's decision. Everett's knee healed in a few days. After that, he and Una decided that they would start planning their wedding. It is a araw that they are both looking pasulong to.

Una, Everett, and Kaitlyn had hapunan at a nice restaurant. As they ate, Una asked, "So, Kaitlyn, what are you majoring in?" Kaitlyn replied, "Well, I'm a biology major. I'm hoping to be a veterinarian." Una said, "You're an animal lover. That's great!" Kaitlyn said, "Yes, I've always been an animal lover. How about you?" Una replied, "Well, I always wanted a dog, but my mother is highly allergic. With that being said, I'm so busy with acting, I'm not sure I'd have time for one now." Kaitlyn said, "That's true. Aso do require a lot of attention. I'm hoping to get one after I finish with veterinary school and get madami settled." Everett smiled as he listened to Una and Kaitlyn's conversation. He was happy to see that they were getting along so well. He thought, This is wonderful. I think it'll work if Una and I decide to get married.

"What do you mean?" Una once again prepared to listen. Everett replied, "While my immediate family was supportive of my dream to go into film editing, not everyone was kind. Lots of people told me that I couldn't do it: most of my schoolmates, some teachers, even my extended family." She said, "How awful!" He said, "I know, but I didn't let that keep me down. My father even told me that I should go for it, no matter what anyone says. I looked at different film schools, and I got accepted into one that is fairly close to where I grew up. Upon graduating, I started preparing to go to film school. I started that fall, and I got a job at the local kainan to help my parents cover the apartment rent." Una added, "And that's where we met." Everett smiled. "Yes, Una. My life only got brighter from there." She said, "Aw! I say the same to you, Everett." With that, they kissed.
