Leila managed to make her two mile trek home. Her feet ached from walking in shoes that weren't exactly comfortable. They were better than wearing heels, not that she needed heels, because she's a tall girl. Leila made it to the front door. She rang the doorbell. Her aunt answered the door and said, "Leila, you're tahanan early. What happened? Where's Greg?" Leila explained everything to her aunt. Her uncle overheard and said, "I'm sorry to hear that." After taking a paliguan to freshen up, Leila said, "I don't know what I did to deserve this." Her aunt said, "You didn't deserve that, dear." She said, "I wish I could start things over." Her aunt said, "I know, sweetheart. On the bright side, you will be going to college this fall. You can make new mga kaibigan and maybe even find a new boyfriend." She said, "I don't want another boyfriend, not for a while anyway." Her aunt said, "I understand, Leila." She said, "I think I'm going to call it a night." Her aunt said, "All right. Goodnight, dear." Leila limped upstairs to her bedroom and collapsed on her bed. Her tuta came to snuggle with her. She was sure he was a mix of breeds, but he looked madami German Shepherd than anything. His green eyes and grayish/blue amerikana color probably indicated he was part Weimaraner, but she didn't know for sure. She had no idea where the pup came from. She found him on the side of the road three weeks ago, and he wounded and hungry. She took him to the vet, who nursed him back to health and estimated he was about three months old. Leila named her new companion Paul, after her paborito member of New Religion. She smiled as she remembered how she got her furry friend and fell asleep in the warmth of his soft fur.
