Meanwhile, Hank and his buddies all met in the school gymnasium to watch the cheerleader tryouts. As they took their seats they discussed who might be selected.
"I hope we get some pretty cheerleaders this year. Last year's batch were good and all, but kinda plain, you know?"
"Yeah. We want someone who looks like - that blonde girl down there. Know who she is, Hank?"
As his friend asked the question, Hank looked down to see. His friend was pointing at an unfamiliar girl, chatting happily away with two of last year's cheerleaders with a bright smile on her face. She had fluffy, curly hair the colour of sunshine, and was in a playful outfit with a sparkly kulay-rosas sweater and a short kulay-rosas skirt.
"I don't know who she is," remarked Hank, looking slightly dazed, "but I hope she makes the squad!"
His mga kaibigan all grinned and nudged him, Hank pushed them away, and then the cheerleaders were all taking their places and he briefly Nawawala sight of the pretty blonde girl.
But he noticed her again when it came her turn to try out. The gym teacher called for "Charity", and the blonde girl emerged from the crowd, already standing out with her bright hair and outfit. She gave a playful smile to the onlookers, her bright blue eyes sparkling, and went into a routine that left the entire gym sitting speechless.
Hank sat there with his mouth open. "What a girl!"
"Yeah," his friend agreed. "Looks like we'll have some pretty and talented cheerleaders this year."
As soon as the tryouts were over, Hank got up and hurried from the bleachers with a brief "Excuse me" to his friends, who all smirked at him, knowing where he was going. He had to talk to that girl before someone else did.
Hank met Charity just as she was coming out of the girls' lockers. "Hey - Charity, right? Nice job back there. I was watching." Charity turned to him, looking a little surprised but mostly pleased to be addressed. "I'm Hank. I'm on the team you're going to be cheering for - because you're going to make the squad for sure. So, are you new here?"
Charity nodded. "Yes! My family just moved here. Everyone's been so nice and welcoming so far."
"So," Hank ran his hand through his wavy dark blonde hair and tried to sound casual, "since you're new here - are you doing anything tonight?"
Charity lit up, then immediately arranged herself into a madami coy pose and answered in a soft, flirty tone. "Not really, why?"
"How about I take you out to dinner? I can help you get to know your way around the town, tell you madami about the football team...."
Charity took a moment to answer, but her bright smile had already answered for her before she did. "That sounds great."
Paul sat on his kama strumming his guitar, wavy dark blond hair falling into his eyes as he frowned in concentration. He was trying to figure out the opening riff for a new song he was writing, and he hadn't gotten it quite right yet.
"One, two, one, two!" The sounds of counting and pounding footsteps from the susunod room distracted him. His brother Hank was practising his training regimen again, pounding away and shaking the entire floor of their house. Paul sat up and sighed. He couldn't concentrate like this.
And he knew it wasn't really Hank's training regimen that was making it impossible for...

On the last araw of their honeymoon, Una and Everett put on their raincoats and headed out after breakfast. It was still raining some, but they didn't care. They enjoyed splashing in the puddles. After splashing around for a few hours, they decided to go back to their hotel room to freshen up for lunch. As they ate their lunch, Una said, "That was a lot of fun." Everett said, "Yes, it was. I'm glad we didn't let all the rain wreck our fun." She said, "I'm glad about that too." After lunch, they relaxed in their hotel room for a while. Afterwards, they went swimming one madami time. Later, they...

The susunod few days were spent in any number of spontaneous activities. While the rain poured down outside, Everett and Una did an impromptu dance party in their hotel room, and they sang their favourite songs and invented crazy moves and Everett picked up Una and spun her around as their grand finale.
They frequented the buffet. It turned out the hotel had an all-day buffet, and very few people were using it when it wasn't officially mealtime. They enjoyed sampling all the snacks and Una discovered a new favourite key dayap tart. One time at the buffet, Una and Everett even struck up a conversation...

Once Una and Everett finished pagganap out their story, they relaxed in their fort for a bit. Una said, "Thank you for this, Everett. This brought back a lot of memories." He smiled and said, "I should be thanking you." She asked, "What do you mean?" He said, "You helped me let loose and have fun. This is the most fun I've had in a long time." She said, "That's why it's important to embrace your inner child." He said, "I think so. Speaking of embracing your inner child, we should go out for pizza, and afterwards, we should get some ice cream." She said, "That sounds like a plan to me." They did...

Within the half-hour, the fort was complete. Una and Everett had draped a blanket over two chairs they had pushed together, and used pillows and wadded-up sheets for extra coziness. The whole thing took longer than it might have, because Una threw a unan at Everett and started a unan fight.
Finally, the fort was up, and they sat under it on some folded sheets, Una flopped down and laughing, Everett sitting up beside her and laughing too.
"Let's tell stories," Una said.
"Okay," Everett agreed readily. "There's a good one from a short movie I've been practising editing in film school."
So Everett...

As it rained, Una said, "It's a good thing I brought an umbrella. We'll just stay under it until the rain..." before she could say anything else, some lightning flashed around them. She said, "Let's get out of here!" Una and Everett made it safely back to the hotel room. Once they caught their breath, Everett said, "I'm exhausted." Una said, "I am too. Let's take a nap. Maybe the storm will pass during that time." With that, they took a long nap. When they woke up, Everett looked out the window. Una asked, "Did it pass?" He said, "Nope. It's still raining." She said, "Aw, it didn't pass." He...

The susunod day, Una and Everett went to the hotel lobby for breakfast. "Look at all the tropical prutas they serve here!" Una sinabi as they approached the buffet.
Everett smiled to see her enthusiasm. He had woken up this morning still a little worried. He helped her to fill up her plate, piled high as usual, and carry it to the table.
"Let's go swimming today," Una sinabi as they sat down. "I can't wait to see the beach!"
"It looks a bit cloudy," Everett pointed out, glancing uneasily at the sky. "Maybe we should plan an indoor activity for today. We could probably reach a shopping centre before the...

Una and Everett were heading to Florida for their honeymoon. Una said, "I can't believe it. We're finally married!" Everett smiled and said, "I know! I'm very happy." She said, "I'm very happy too." They arrived at the tabing-dagat house just in time for dinner. They ordered some takeout and ate after they unpacked their things. Una said, "I'm so excited to be in a house that's right on the beach!" Everett said, "I'm excited too!" She said, "This honeymoon is going to be a lot of fun." He said, "It certainly is." Later, they turned on the telebisyon to see the weather forecast. Everett said, "Oh,...

The big araw finally arrived. The wedding venue was decorated in teal. As Una was getting dressed, her mother knocked on the door. Una said, "Come in." Her mother walked into the room and said, "You look beautiful." Una said, "Thank you. This summer dress isn't exactly traditional, but I pag-ibig it. I just know Everett will pag-ibig it too." Her mother smiled. "That's all that matters." They hugged. After a pause, Mrs. Stratton said, "Your father would be so proud of you." Una said, "He is. Mother, there's something I want to ask you." Her mother smiled again. "Of course, dear, anything." Una asked,...

"Una? Una, are you okay?"
Una opened her eyes. Everett was leaning over her, looking concerned. Una's face felt wet, and she realized she'd been crying in her sleep. As Everett came into focus, she threw her arms around him.
Everett held her and patted her on the back. "It's okay, Una."
Una nodded. "I - I know." She pulled back from Everett and gave him a watery smile. "It's just - I missed my father. I kept wishing he could be there to walk me down the aisle."
"Oh." Everett was sympathetic. "Is that what's been bothering you?" Una nodded. "I'm so sorry. I should have noticed...."
Una shook her...

Warning: You need tissues.

A few days later, Una heard back from one of the venues she and Everett were considering. The person who spoke to her on the phone said, "I'm so sorry. We are booked up through July and the rest of the year. We're a very popular venue. We tend to stay booked up throughout the year." She said, "Oh, okay. Thanks anyway." She hung up and sighed. Everett asked, "Was that another dead end?" She said, "Yes, it was. Finding a venue is harder than I thought." He said, "We'll just have to keep looking." She said, "I guess you're right." Pretty soon, they had everything ready....

Over the susunod couple of weeks, the wedding started to come together. Everett's mother took Una shopping to find the perfect tial fabric for the bridesmaids' dresses, mesa covers, and such. Una had picked out some of her very best actress mga kaibigan along with Kaitlyn to be her bridesmaids, and one of Everett's little cousins would be the bulaklak girl.
Everett's father called up some caterers and arranged times for Una and Everett to come have sample meals.
"I don't want anything too, too fancy," Una said. "Nothing our guests won't recognize. I just want good food!"
Una's mother helped them look up...

Una and Everett were looking through the bridal magazine to pick out a color scheme for their wedding. Finally, Everett said, "Since your paborito color is blue, and mine is green, why not use the color teal? It's the perfect combination of both colors." Una smiled and said, "Everett, you're a genius. It will also represent the two of us coming together as one." Once they picked out the color scheme and the decorations, they ordered some pizza and had it delivered to Everett's apartment. Una was quiet throughout dinner. Although she and Everett had accomplished a few things, her mind kept going...

Everett was a little too stressed himself, when Una got back to his place, to immediately notice how she was feeling. "I've been looking at dozens of venues since you left," he sinabi when she came in, barely looking up, "and I think I may have found three that might work. We should call them as soon as possible before they don't have any time slots when we need them." He ran his hand through his hair and turned to face Una, offering her the best smile he could manage. "But enough about that. Let's - are you okay, Una?"
Una immediately did her best to smile back at him. She hadn't meant to let...

Una had lunch with her mother. As they ate, Una asked, "Mother, what was your wedding like?" Mrs. Stratton smiled. She said, "It was nothing fancy, but it was beautiful. Our wedding just had family and close friends, so it was small. Still, the bulaklak were beautiful and blue, since blue is my paborito color. It was also your father's paborito color. Anyway, before we got started, my father asked if I was sure this was what I wanted, because if I wasn't, I didn't have to do it. Una and Everett didn't wait long after their eventful proposal before getting straight to the wedding planning. They even ran ideas sa pamamagitan ng each other while Una stayed with Everett during his recovery, but as soon as he was fully better they started planning in earnest.
"It's April. If we start now, I think we can have everything ready sa pamamagitan ng July," Everett said.
He was busily making a listahan of all the things he and Una would have to arrange before the big day.

After they ate hapunan at a burger joint, they went back to Everett's apartment. Una decided to stay with Everett so that she could help him with whatever he needed. Mrs. Stratton approved of Una's decision. Everett's knee healed in a few days. After that, he and Una decided that they would start planning their wedding. It is a araw that they are both looking pasulong to.

Una collapsed into a chair in the hospital's waiting room, knees shaky. She had been so determined to help Everett she hadn't even noticed how heavy he was compared to her until a nurse had taken him from her arms and helped him into an examination room.
Would Everett be okay?? She hadn't expected their nice romantic trip to the park to go like this! He hadn't even had a chance to ask her his question.... Which, not that it was important right now, she still didn't know what it was.
It seemed much longer than it really had been before a doctor finally emerged from the examining room.
"How is he?!"...

What could possibly go wrong? When they arrived at the park, Una said, "This is so nice, Everett." He smiled. "I'm glad you think so." She said, "It's so quiet and peaceful, and the weather is perfect." He said, "Indeed." After a pause, he said, "Una, there's something I want to ask you." She said, "Oh? What's...
