I shuffled through the many activities that were designed to help the younger campers. Who might I say were so small and just made me, awww. Until finally, the big araw was here! Friday! All of the campers lined up in front of there respective cabins. We all, with much talking walked toward's the Pavillion. The naiads and dryads melted from the forest and the ocean carrying platters of vegetarian food. I was quick to accept the change but...sometimes I craved a burger.
We all placed some of our finer vegetables into the Hearth tended sa pamamagitan ng a small girl, Hestia. Grandma, she smiled gleefully as I put a large sum of tinapay into the bright kahel flames. "For Poseidon." I whispered. hapunan was just like any other. Loud from many other chattering voices and delicious. But today there was an electricity in the air. Tension of who was going to win CTF. Annabeth waved at Percy from the Athena table. He blew a halik back. I smiled and took a mother bite of salad. There was a lot of whispering of battle strategies and tecquniques that they had invented. Weapons that were newly forged and spells that were devised. The Athena kids were eyeing me with exceptional interest and the Ares children seemed exceptionally sad today. Almost like they didn't have a chance...which they didn't.
Some Aphrodite girls were giggling and pointing at me. I didn't want to know what they were thinking.
A loud bang rang out over the crowd. Everyone went quiet and turned the centaur Chiron. He stood with majesty in the sun rays before dusk. Dionysus sat haphazardly with a wine glass full of kouk Zero.
Chiron's voice boomed out, "As I have told you many times before, welcome back!" everyone including me cheered and it shook the forest. He motioned for us to settle down. We eventually settled down. "Yes I know very exciting! I would also like to announce Mr. D's return back to camp!!" we cheered some madami but he waved it away. "And finally Capture The Flag will be held as usual after hapunan tonight. All participants will gather here in the Pavilion. All magical items are aloud. And same teams will be enforced. NO trading people!!" there was some grumbling and a hand shot up. "Yes? You have a tanong Clarisse?" Chiron asked while everyone started whispering. "Clarisse La Rue? Asking a question????"
Clarisse stood up clumsily. "Choron I think you've seen that there is another Poseidon child here at camp." she started but was cut off sa pamamagitan ng a lot of surprised shouts. People stretched themselves to see me. I think I blushed when I felt hundred of eyes staring at me. I waved a little. Clarisse continued, "I think that it's unfair to have two Big Three kids against the opposing team!" she concluded and the Ares kids roared in agreement.
Chiron scratched his scruffy chin. "I see," Chiron started. "If any of the children of Poseidon wish to change teams or not participate in Capture the Flag please say so now!" He sinabi over the silence.
I slowly stood up. "Sir," I started. Chiron stuck out his chin. "I could be on a team sa pamamagitan ng myself." I started but my voice was drowned out sa pamamagitan ng the laughing of everyone else. A few kids yelled out, "I bet you won't last two minutes!!" or, "Your just gonna fail miserably!!!!"
Chiron stomped his hoof angrily and it was silent immediately. "If he would like to stand alone...allow him to!!!" Chiron boomed. Chiron looked up at me, "Today is a first where one person against allege others. I hope you know what your getting into son!!" Chiron finished. I smiled gleefully. "Thank you Sir!!" I yelled while sitting down.
A new intensity enveloped the crowd. Plans began to be made of how I was going to lose. But Percy and Annabeth gawked at me. "Are you sure you want to do this?" Percy asked sounding worried. But I knew the truth. He was genuinely scared for himself. "I know what I'm doing Percy." I sinabi with a smirk. Annabeth and Percy both thought, "How are we going to win?"
