For me I've only done lower HP and Status Problem although it doesn't always work but I'd say it works more often than not..and really False Swipe never appealed to me..so this is pretty much the way I go when I either I don't have Quick Ball or when the Quick Ball Doesn't work..

I like using False Swipe the best. I find it to be pretty cool, and it comes in handy when I do my best to catch a lower-level Pokémon (such as Fletchling or Scatterbug in Pokémon Y).
