I remember visiting this website once...
It was called 20 Times Pretty Little Liars Made You Super Paranoid About Life
Here's some stuff I remembered seeing:
Pretty Little Liars, the best drama series on ABC Family, fills our Tuesday nights with scares, mysteries and gorgeous fashion. Die-hard fans obsess over “
Who Is A” and spend a lot of their down time discussing theories and ideas. And even though PLL is just a television show (it’s actually a lifestyle, but for the case of this article, let’s go with “show”), it has every fan looking over their shoulders in fear.
With a text-messaging stalker lurking around every corner and psychos murdering residents left and right, Rosewood is filled with way-too-creepy occurrences. That being said, here are 20 intense PLL moments that made you super paranoid about life:
1.) First and foremost, the text message. Never have you ever been more terrified in your life about a simple alert. Whenever you receive one, you hope it’s from your best friend asking about your weekend plans or your mom asking you if you want her to pick you up some Starbucks. However, after watching
Pretty Little Liars, you know — YOU JUST KNOW — it’s a text from an anonymous source threatening to end you and the lives of your loved ones. (Advice: hide the money in the lasagna box and run!)
worst holiday on the calendar. Not only is everyone walking around in masks made of other people’s faces, but now you’re paranoid that your best friend is playing a deadly trick on you and your friends. Or someone will be murdered on a moving Halloween train. Dancing and cherry Chapstick are also involved, but that’s nothing to be paranoid about — unless the girl whose cherry Chapstick you’re admiring eventually ends up blind and is seeking revenge on you and your friends.
3.) The woods anywhere and everywhere should be blocked off with caution tape. This is where hooded figures chase you, where younger brother act super creepy, and where your hair gets teased on top of your head. Glamping, however, is acceptable. Just be sure to find a nice well-lit campground.
4.) Walking across the street has never been more stressful. Who knows when your best friend will hit you with a car because you “knew too much”? Then you end up in the hospital with a broken leg in a cast that “A” will definitely sign.
5.) Drunken nights with your BFFs will never be the same. Beer pong, flip cup and truth or dare may be played, but before the night is over, someone will go missing. This person will end up dead or in a graveyard digging up that dead person’s grave. Trust me, it
6.) Black hoodies and red coats should be discontinued in all retail stores. Who knew such simple pieces of clothing would turn out to be the worst things ever invented? Anytime you see a black hoodie or a red coat, you immediately go into panic mode. Running for the hills is also an option.
7.) Dolls have never seemed as sinister as they do now, over 100 PLL episodes later. Sure, when you were young, dolls were the best things ever. You had doll houses, you brushed their hair, you fed them. Now, every time you look at one, you swear its eyes are following every move you make. Dolls also start to resemble you and your friends…..
8.) After watching PLL, no matter how rotten your teeth get, no one will ever go to a dentist appointment again. Because a hooded figure will give you anesthesia. And you will pass out. And later, you will find a secret threatening message inside your mouth.
9.) No one likes school, but you also never knew that your school could literally turn on you. Intercoms have never been scarier, especially ones that play loud creepy music. Signs normally used for displaying messages to students are telling you to “Act Normal, Bitch.”
10.) Back yards are the worst — especially the ones with gazebos. It is very likely that multiple people will be found buried in it.
11.) Chinese food will never be the same again. Every time you order takeout, you check the box for worms or some other creepy crawly creatures. There’s also likely to be a life-threatening alert that’s going to arrive on your phone about 15 seconds after you open the takeout and scream your pretty little head off.
12.)  Cops are supposed to be some of the best people to turn to in a rough situation. However, because
Pretty Little Liars is your life, every cop is a Rosewood Cop. They know nothing about murder investigations. They know nothing about the town they are working in. And they are likely trying to prove you and your friends murdered someone. If they aren’t accusing you of murder, they are being horrible boyfriends who won’t share insider information.
13.) After watching PLL, while in your car, you consistently check behind you to make sure no one has written on the back of your window while you are making out with your hot secret boyfriend. This message will likely look something like this: I See You. Number 1 suspect? Noel Kahn.
14.) Donating blood is a sweet gesture — just not on this show. Even if it’s for a good cause, just don’t give blood. Your blood will be stolen and spread all over your dead-best-friend’s clothes in an attempt to frame you for murder. Orange is the new Hanna, you guys.
15.) Fun houses are insanely sketchy because THEY WILL LITERALLY EAT YOU, and you’ll have to wait on your creepy brother-in-law to pry you out. (Not to mention, the mirrors just make you look bigger than four elephants combined.
16.) Pets are usually cuddly cute animals unless they are from Rosewood. For pets, you only get the choice of a dog that is exceptionally good at finding dead bodies and hanging around girls who know too much or a parrot that can recite very important phone numbers and is the only thing in Rosewood that knows who A is.
17.) Ice cream is an actually horrifying thing on this show. Sure, you have all of your favorite flavors: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, chunky monkey, etc. But chances are while visiting an ice cream factory, you will get trapped in a freezer and your stalker will try to freeze you and your best friend to death. Thankfully, your other best friend has super-human strength and will break everything in sight until you are free.
Pretty Little Liars, every girl hopes her high school English teacher is as handsome as Mr. Fitz. Then again, if luck out with a good-looking instructor, then you’ll just spend your day worrying that everyone thinks you’re kissing him behind closed doors — because that’s totally happening.
19.) Bell towers will eventually force you to refrain from going to church. Whatever you do, do not walk through church doors with a USB drive filled with scandalous videos the NAT Club took of you and your friends. You will be chased. Someone will be hanging from the ropes attached to the bell. The cops will be pointing fingers at you and your friends.
20.) Every time you try on clothes in a dressing room, you pray that a snake will not be thrown into the room with you. But if CeCe Drake shows up to beat it to death with a mannequin leg, then by all means, bring on the snakes!
Pretty Little Liars may be the best show on television, but it’s safe to say that it also has the tendency to make our hearts race
every time our phones *ding* a text message.
So, are there any specific PLL scenes that made you SUPER cautious IRL? Tell us all about it!

So it’s a show? “It’s a lifestyle.” The Gilmore Girls may have said this, but it’s Jaymie’s motto. She drinks too much coffee and watches way too much TV. Pretty Little Liars is an obsession. All things considered, Jaymie loves quoting Spencer Hastings, writing and pie — but she doesn’t want to date pie. Follow her PLL obsessions at @AllThingsPLL.
I had a nightmare once about the 5×17 episode, that I was the one, who took that Mona’s computer after A hid it, and all I did was worrying every second, what will A do, like paige did in Season 3.
In the second book in the New York Times bestselling mystery series, Veronica Mars is back with a case that will expose the hidden workings of one of Neptune’s most murderous locations.
