Okay I know a lot of people do not like Vince for a range of reasons. The drugs, bad things to people, abuse of a billion things, his character, etc etc. But he is truly someone that every wrestling tagahanga should thank.
If Vince never got into the wrestling industry there would be no WWE (obviously) TNA, ROH, etc. There may be one or two little things going around but he was able to lift off the ground professional wrestling.
People say that Hogan was the one to make wrestling a huge thing a big success, but really he is just a puppet; Vince's puppet. Hulk Hogan didn't make himself, Vince did. Yes...
