What is something important that happened on your birthday (not nessecerily the same year)?

Apparently, my birthdate is not a good day, at least it wasn't for Mary Ann "Polly" Nichols in 1888, because she was Jack the Ripper's first victim killed on August 31, 1888. I feel horrible for the poor woman eventhough she died over 100 years before I was born.

My birthday is 3rd September. Here are some of the most interesting things that happened that day:

1189 – Richard I of England (a.k.a. Richard "the Lionheart") is crowned at Westminster.

1855 – Indian Wars: In Nebraska, 700 soldiers under United States General William S. Harney avenge the Grattan Massacre sa pamamagitan ng attacking a Sioux village, killing 100 men, women, and children.

1939 – World War II: France, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, and Australia declare war on Germany after the invasion of Poland, forming the Allies.

1944 – Holocaust: Diarist Anne Frank and her family are placed on the last transport train from Westerbork to Auschwitz, arriving three days later.

****1994 – Sino-Soviet Split: Russia and the People's Republic of China agree to de-target their nuclear weapons against each other.*****

The last one is on my actual birthday - 03/09/94.
