Most painful way of dying:Drowning or Burning?

If I ever drown or burn to death, I'll tell you.

I think Burning to death. Because I've been underwater for a while and while it's a panic, it's not really painful. Obviously, though, I didn't drown.

Either way would be a pretty horrible death.

Well with my bad luck i had expirience with both....i almost drawned when i was 5 n i burned rl bad when i was 6 so id say burning.......thats what i think couse i expirienced em.......

With burning you suffocate because of the smoke before the real pain sets in.

Definitely burning! It hurts to even accidentally burn your finger but being burned alive would be the worst EVER!

I have a fear of big bodies of water so that may be contributing to it.

I think that these are both the worst two ways to die, but I think drowning.

Because it must be horrible feeling yourself going down and gradually, slowly dying. Whereas, although burning would happen slowly, i think that the actual death would actually happen quite quickly. Not that I'd know though.

I'm scared of the open ocean, but I'm also incredibly scared of fire, after an incident with a candle when I was 7.

It depends. Is the water cold? Are you being burned directly, or do you die before the apoy reach your body? Anyway, I've heard that drowning is the most comfortable way to die. 1-0 to drowning!

Burning because my dream death is drowning xD It sounds peaceful well till you actually start drowning .-. Anyway it's how I want to die.

There are much, much worse ways to die. You know, like illnesses, like being buried alive, like being dead while still breathing.

Of those two? Eh, drowning. *shrugs*

I WOULD SAY BURNING TO DEATH WOULD BE madami PAINFUL BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO FEEL AS YOUR BODY SLOWLY BURNS. BESIDES BURNS ARE PAINFUL.

depends on how fast it is and whether you're unconsious or not. id have to say drowning though, but it could just be because i have a fear of drowning.

I've heard that from studies that scientists have done, drowning is like falling asleep because the oxygen can't reach your lungs, let alone the rest of your body, so you start to fall into a coma. They conducted these tests on mga hayop though, so...yeah. Burning would hurt a lot worse though, obviously.

I think both of them are equally painful cause in both cases you cant breath...

Drowing is painful due to lack of oxygen to the brain, which then causes violent convulsions. (basically EXTREME seizures)

Burning is only painful for a short amount of time as the nervs under your skin are burned so therefore you get a numb feeling.


I'd rather Drown, atleast my body would look the same, not all burned up. Plus i pag-ibig the water.

What about if your burning so you jump in a lake to put yourself out only to drown?

Well I hate open fires because my old house burned down and burnt my Dad up. (He's still alive). So I would have to say fire.

Well, I was about to drown one day, and it's not painful. First, you feel a panic, but then you just stop breathing slowly, your moviments are slowed and you have a calm death without any hurt (I didn't die!). Burning is madami painful. You feel your body heating and your flesh burning. At least I think it's like that. If I had to choise, I would pick "Drowning".

BTW, I dream about burning lots of times. And it's always painful!

Really, it would be burning. From the many crime dramas I've watched, the people who run around screaming while on apoy look to be in madami pain than those who briefly struggle for air before losing conciousness and dying.

Drowning. If I were burning on a stake, per se, I'd go from wanting to get the hell away from it to gripping it and wanting to stay near it. Drowning can make you feel numb and make you go unconcious, and if you go unconcious then you won't be able to see the ones you love. At least burning on a stake you could see them and know that they're okay.

Drowning. It would take longer and would be a lot madami uncomfortable then being burned, when being burned you usually pass out from the smoke first then you can't really feel the flames....so yeah....

Well, I don't know about you, but drowning while you're on apoy sounds pretty bad to me.

well, considering that i used to have an extremely bad phobia of fire, i would say that that would be the most painful for me.

I would have to say burning to death would be much madami painful than drowning. Both wouldn't be too pleasant though.

Burning.When i Was like 3 i was running around and i fell into a apoy pit.It was out but it burned both arms and both legs.

Actually, personal experience has nothing to do with it so most of your sagot are invalid. Burning is not the most painful way to die because yes, it does hurt, but after your nerves have been burned through (which I doubt has happened to most of the ones who decided to answer this question) you can no longer feel any pain. With drowning, you can feel every drop of water entering your lungs replacing the air that was once there. Your lungs become crushed and there is literally no way to breathe. (which I also doubt has happened to most of the people answering this question-otherwise you wouldn't exactly be answering.)

Drowning wouldn't be that painful.
