How do i tell my parents I have depression?

So like, I took a test and i scored this:

Major Depression:Very High
Dysthymia:High
Cyclothymia:Slight-Moderate
Seasonal Affective Disorder:High-Moderate

Like,

Dysthymia, Cyclothymia and Seasonal Affective Disorder are types of depression..

I dont know how to tell them i'm depressed..

U can't trust tests. You can have a bodybuilder take a BMI test and it will tell him he is over weight because he is 300 lbs of pure muscle. Tests are loads of crap

Tests are sometimes unreliable. You can't believe everything that you get on a test.
In order to be sure whether you are as depressed as you make it sound like you are, I must ask you what has made you "depressed". Through this I can infer whether or not your depression is as high is it seems.
I have a brother with depression, so I know a little bit about it and how far it can go.

Well, i dont really know why im depressed. I guess its probably because I became homeschooled and had a change in my life, im not too sure though.

^So what you're saying is that a dramatic change in your life has caused some sort of change in you, mostly ipinapakita in a possible sign of depression. I cannot conclude that you have any sort of depression. My guess is that your mind is still in a state of shock from this change of being homeschooled now. If I were you, I'd keep a journal or something and write down your thoughts as much as possible. After a while, read through your entries and see if there's been a change in how you've felt about something. This is just my opinion on the subject though.

Well if I were you I wouldn't necessarily trust tests because they're not always reliable... You can look for the symptoms to see if you have them but if you really think you're depressed, you should not worry about how to tell your parents about it. It's not like you've done something wrong or like it's your fault, nobody chooses to be depressed. So just tell them you think you're depressed because you often feel sad and etc. But don't worry about it, they won't be mad at you for that, they'll probably try to help you get through it...
