Spanish conjugation question?

Can two conjugated verbs be susunod to each-other in a properly-written sentence in Spanish?
Because everything I've seen with two verbs in Spanish has a conjugated verb and then an infinitive (Las dos amigas tienen ir a la tienda*), or was a verb with a gerund following (Estoy leyendo las noticias**).
Any ideas?

I know my Spanish conjugations for the most part, and I think not. Only one verb has to be conjugated, since the person/persons referenced are already there! No need to be redundant, right?
