Can you be a fashion designer that doesn't sew?

yes you are able to do that
but sewing make you closer from your design

Its would help a lot because the madami skills you have the better chance you have of getting that job. There are plenty of people who can draw a beautiful dress, but can they make it in real life?

I think that most fashion designers started off doing some sewing, but now, they leave most of the sewing up to those who specialize in sewing. In order to be a good designer, you would need to know the techniques of sewing, (like a painter would need to know about colours, brush strokes, etc.) to incorporate them into a design.

That's a good question; I actually found myself asking the same thing. I pag-ibig designing cloths, but I hate sewing.

I can imagine it's possible if you find someone willing to sew for you and you can give them a detailed drawing or description.
