Do I like that Trump is our new president? Not at all. But, bringing his 10 year old son into the hate is immature and disgusting.

He's a kid and he's not his father. Trump is an ass, yes. But his 10 year old boy doesn't have to be pulled under the bus.

The kid's only 10. Just because his father is Donald Trump doesn't mean that he's a horrible person. And if you insist on hating on him, wait until he's at least 16.

I hate Trump as much as the next guy, but Barron is a just a child. It's not his fault his father is an awful person.

Why are there so many polls criticising obviously-invalid forms of criticism, like "violent riots" on the debate spot, "assassination" and "targeting a 10 yo" here. They are blips - no one reasonable would advocate for them, and indeed, hardly anyone does. So why are they such hot topics?

Actual political issues that would make relevant, good polls: "Should Donald Trump release his tax returns?", "Should Donald Trump defund Planned Parenthood?", "Are you worried by Donald Trump's climate change denial?"

@Poll OP (haven't even checked who you are): this isn't targeted at you but the spots as a whole, sorry if it sounds overly aggressive.

As much as I despise Trump, let's PLEASE leave his 10-year-old son out of this! I mean, he was yawning late at night during his dad's speech when he should've been in bed. Why the hell wouldn't he be yawning? That's what any kid his age would do! Let's save his possible hate for when he gets older and really does something awful. Maybe he'll be the only decent member of the Trump family when he grows up..... MAYBE!

Yes I agree 100%. A**holes need to stop picking on a child just because he was yawning and inpatient. Any child his age would get tired staying up very late of a celebration. Just because he's Trump's son it doesn't mean to make fun of a 10 year old feeling tired. Them people need to grow up, seriously!

^^Who care what person wants to make a poll about any given issue? Especially in the 'RANDOM' spot? If you think said issues should be discussed, make a poll yourself.

Because the relentless condemnation of anti-Trump/pro-Clinton people on this site is ridiculous. It was prevalent during the campaign, but you'd expect it to tone down once the campaign ended. You'd expect people to turn their attention from petty 'one side vs the other' to you know, keeping the government accountable.

Hasn't happened. I've seen far more scrutiny of people criticising the government, than actual scrutiny of government. It's bizarre.

Basically what I'm saying: get some frickin perspective, people.

If I started those polls, I'd be seen as picking an argument or pushing a political agenda.

In all fairness the amount of anti-Trump Supporters/Pro-Clinton on twitter, tumblr, and even in the media is pretty overwhelming. TBH fanpop is literally the one site (save for YouTube which is split just about even) that isn't completely anti-Trump and pro-Clinton. And I think that's why so many polls like this are posted. Because fanpop is one of the few outlets where you won't get hate simply for suggesting that there are some positives about Trump and/or his family. In other words fanpop actually seems more tolerant of different opinions by comparison.

That's why I like this poll and why I think it's a good poll. Because there isn't just one side. I enjoy that we can have polls like this and like the ones you suggested in your comment. You get discussions from both sides. Personally I think that the treatment of a 10 year old boy is a good topic of discussion because it leads to a bigger picture; discussing whether or not it's okay to bring any celebrity's children into things. I also think discussing riots are important because they seem to be happening more and more often in light of politics. Violent protesting isn't something that hardly anyone does. There have been quite a concerning number (in my opinion) in 2016. And there are already incidents of a few in Washington. I think that those are worth discussing. Because there are some people who think violent protests are justified.

But at the same time I agree with you, that the government needs to get its shit together and that's also important to discuss. Because the government as it stands right now is just corrupt and getting worse. However I do think that the ones critisising it should get some scrutiny as well because some people take it out on the wrong people which isn't okay. No political ideal is above scrutiny and I think that both sides could use some evaluating, if that makes sense.

For the record, I don't view your polls as starting an argument. ^_^ Just you trying to spark conversation. For the most part people on this site don't aim to antagonize. That said, I hope my comment didn't sound rude or harsh.

@ThePrincessTale, Speaking as Trump supporter I don't condemn anyone for being anti-Trump/pro-Clinton, nor do I start polls to start fights. I do however, have concerns that I'd like discuss, with the amount of rioting that's going on and how one-sided everything seems to be, and the fact that I've started receiving death threats from users on various sites for being a Trump supporter. As zanhar1 stated this is one of the few places that isn't so one-sided.

Definitely. When Elizabeth Lauten made inappropriate comments about Sasha and Malia Obama, the public and media were demanding that she be fired or resign (the latter of which she eventually did), and rightfully so. So I think it's only fair that, even if his father is Donald Trump, people shouldn't be able to insult Barron Trump either. Most people didn't even have the nerve to insult George W. Bush's daughters, and the left hated him almost as much as they did Trump. Those who made the inappropriate comments about Barron Trump should be condemned just like Elizabeth Lauten was.

^^^^Thanks Zan. No you weren't harsh.

"It is a good topic of discussion because it leads to a bigger picture; discussing whether or not it's okay to bring any celebrity's children into things." I suppose I could buy into that with this particular one. But my biggest problem with these polls in general is:

1. It seems like people are focusing on small, insignificant issues and losing sight of the important ones. They're spending their time bagging out a minority of mean anti-Trump people and ignoring the horrible things that Trump is doing. Lately I feel like this site has actually been one-sided like that.

2. They're loaded questions: no one is going to support the other side, there will be no constructive debate, the comments section will just be a sea of condemnation.
