Why does everyone hate the Viz dub?

Whenever people talk about which dub they like madami for the toon, chances are that they will answer that the old dub rules and the new dub drools. Heck, some go so far as to say that the old dub is better than the Japanese dub. Here's my problem with this debate: The old dub, while giving us a good introduction, was severely censored, and a tagahanga of anime will say it's bad. Second, the Viz dub was just trying to be faithful to the original, which I say it's good. You would think that being closer to the original means madami love, but no. They will make complaints such as (puts on Abridged Tristan voice) "The voices are just bland while the old voices actually had personality", or, "production for the original was better, even the scripts and the music", or for even madami shocking news, "everything about it was better than even the Japanese version", or, "They're cousins, not lovers!" (normal voice) My response to all those complaints is this: That's just like saying the 4kids dub of One Piece is better than the Funimation dub, which is obviously double talk. My stance on this is that new and faithful can make improvements, as opposed to feeding all those nostalgia-goggle-wearing-folks. Come on, people, we're not in the '90s anymore!
