Thanks for sharing the link ! Just brilliant. I read the whole thread and it makes sense.

Even if I don't mind a violent/killer Severus - he's such a great vehicle as a character, for me to explore the topics of violence/domination/redemption/submission.

But I must reckon that I agree with the non-violent or at least the very reluctant-to-kill Severus.

Severus and Harry have a lot in common. Like Dumbledore and Voldemort have too together.

@LN,I don't mind a killer Severus, either. But I got the impression from the books that he looked on murder as a very serious sin and was not willing to take away life.

Plus, I have another thought on the Killer Severus thing.I am putting it again here:

It was impossible that Severus had killed anyone when he was a Death-Eater.Remember that Voldemort ordered Snape to apply for a position at Hogwarts because he wished him to spy upon Albus Dumbledore.Severus was chosen because his hand was clean. Dumbledore would never allow a killer to teach in Hogwarts. If Severus had killed anyone,he would not be able to get the job ,to say nothing of being a spy.

If Severus ever killed, it was with great reason, as in self-defence, or defence of someone he was protecting. For me personally, I think the greatest proof of that was how reluctant he was to agree to Dumbledore's request, and how difficult it was for him to actually commit the act. If Severus were a killer, if he were truly what some people still believe him to be, he would have had no qualms about it at all.
