[Warning: Minor gore and blood.]
Mother was supposed to be bringing tahanan a new dress for me.
She sinabi it was supposed to be white and beautiful and I would look absolutely lovely.
That isn't how it happened though.
I still looked lovely, but in a different way.
I sat in my play room, surrounded sa pamamagitan ng my many dolls. My dress was a deep purple velvet. The was a ribbon to match in my hair. All my mga manika were expensive dresses, like me. My older brother was in the room down the wall. He hasn't come out for days. The maids had to bring him his food, but he hasn't eaten it. I worry for him. The whole house does.
My mother was out shopping buy my brother and me new clothes, well mostly me. My brother didn't care for fashion and clothes as much as me, but that is okay. We just have different likings. My father was at work, making the Van-Gale family proud, just like me and my brother would one day. Grandmother and Grandfather should be having tsaa at this time. Auntie should be painting. Miss Shamble should be cleaning. Iris and Ellis should be cooking. Well everything was perfect and normal.
I heard the door from my brother's room open and slam shut. Then it was quiet, almost quiet. Just a heavy breathing and heavy footsteps. Maybe brother was sick. The footstep came closer and closer. I looked away from my doll to look at the open door to see my brother walk past followed sa pamamagitan ng a hunched bloody stitched up creature.
I stood up quickly. My mga manika dropped to the floor.
I wanted to yell to him. To tell him what is behind him. To ask him what is he doing and what is going on. But nothing would come out. My throat was closed with nervousness. My legs began to shake. My palms inside of my white gloves became wet with sweat.
I ran out the room, following the trail of dripping blood from the creature. I ran door the hall and down the stairs. I tripped and tumbled down the marble stairs. I hit the floor and tried to get up. There was a pain in my ankle. I managed to stand up sa pamamagitan ng clinging to the banister. Then I heard a scream. First, a husky scream of a elderly woman, and then of a man. That must be Grandma and Grandpa!
I stumbled down the hallway to the living room. There lay a elderly soro woman, whose once fancy yellow dress with stained with blood from a stab to her chest. susunod to her, against a chair, was a elderly soro man. His black amerikana was torn in the chest and his blood had coated the floor. They were both dead.
I couldn't stop the tears. They just flowed out like a river. Brother had always told me I was too quick to cry and that I was a baby and I disgrace to the men of the Van-Gale family. Wait! Brother! And Auntie! I had to warn them there is a murderer about. They could be next!
Somehow, I got myself to ilipat out of that room and down the hall to Auntie's art studio. Just as I stepped inside, Auntie's head flew out and hit the canvas in front of her. Her body crumbled and her head hit the floor. Blood splattered the canvas. She was dead now, too.
I looked to see who had down this. I saw the bloody creature that was following brother. Its long claws which had cut Auntie's neck were coated with blood. The blood my family. It has wavy long black hair that seemed quite familiar. susunod to it, to my surprise, was brother. He was grinning down at Auntie's beheaded body. I let out a shriek. Brother quickly turned around and sent a dagger straight into my hand and stuck it into a wall. "Zaide!!!", I screamed out. I fidgeted to get the dagger gluing my hand to the pader out. Blood ran down the wall. I screamed his name over and over again. Both him and the creature ignored me. Then, I heard the front door. Mother and Father. No no no no no no no no no!!!
"We are home, darlings", I heard my mother say in her cheerful, loving voice. Zaide and the creature left the room as I tried to remove the dagger. When they had left, I finally managed to remove in. My hand was gushing blood. I heard a loud thud and my mother scream. I rushed out the room and down the hall to the front door. Father's body lay cut in two. He was dead. I saw the creature stand up from over Mother's body, which had been stabbed in the back. She held something under her which I cannot see. Now she was dead.
I fell to my knees. The tears wouldn't stop. I sob kama and sobbed. But, my brother just stood there. He would come wipe my tears like the older brother I used to know. No. This was like a entirely new brother. One who killed my family and made the brother I loved disappear. He just grinned and stood susunod to the creature. Then he walked over to me and kneeled down in front of me. I looked into his eyes. They were fushia like mine, but there were no tears, just satisfaction. He took my wounded hand in his and grinned at me. "Zaide, why? Why did you order that beast to kill them?" I uttered out.
"Because, I wanted to. I was sick of them. I'm sick of you too. And that is not a beast. Its an Insaian. Its Koruuna. I brought her back.", he answered and grinned more. Koruuna was his late girlfriend who had died from starving herself. That is why I recognized her hair. that is her body that is mutanized. Insanian creating is a forbidden magic which brings doll-like zombies to life with dead bodies. Its impossible that Zaide could learn it. But he did. And an insane zombie of Koruuna is now alive.
"But why not kill me?" I sinabi in pain as his grip on my hand got tighter.
"Because, there is something you owe me. A promise we made. And I am not going to kill you till its fulfilled." And his grip crushed my hand and I screamed. Then he let go. His hand was complete soaked in my blood. He got up and went over to the wall. With the blood on his hand he wrote upon the pader the words 'Gay and Insane'. Then he chuckled and yelled "That is what you are, Zudorio! Gay and insane! You are foolish stupid crazy little gay boy who has just Nawawala his family!" And he walked out the door and gestured to Insanian Koruuna to follow him and he was gone. "Master Zudorio! Master Zudorio!" screamed a voice. It was Shamble, the head maid. She came out from behind the pader which she was hiding behind. I didn't pay attention to her. I stared at what Zaide had wrote on the wall. Gay and Insane. I started to cry more. Shamble kneeled down and embraced me. Then something odd and uncontrollable happened. Instead, I began to laugh. I was overcome with this overwhelming happiness. I laugh so loud, it rang through the house full of dead bodies and much blood. I pushed Shamble away. I got up, grinning with my sharp teeth showing. I walked over to my mother and kicked her body aside. Underneath her, stained in her blood, was a dress. A dress that was once white. Now deep red. I kneeled down again and stripped myself of my deep purple velvet dress. I then up on the blood soaked dress. It was still damp with her blood. I didn't mind. I liked it. I liked the smell of the blood. I stood up and turned to Shamble, kneeling at my feet and crying, staring up at me with worried eyes.
I grinned once again insanely and said, "Nothing can stay pure and white forever."
