Yes! Finally. I race back to the agentcy. “EMMA” everyone yelled.
“Welcome back Emma” Misty says as she walked up to me. Misty, my best friend, was a white mouse with green hair.
“So… what happen to Ruby” I ask. Everyone and I mean everyone looked at me. There was an awkward silence.
“She left” A blue echidna answered.
“Sidney.” I turn to look at Ruby’s former partner. “What?” I managed to say.
“She quit because you because you betrayed her!” She broke out in a yell.
“She was accepted to another agentcy in the city” Misty interrupted so Sidney could calm down.
“You don’t know what it’s like to lose a friend.” She turns and stomps away.
They didn’t understand. I had to work for Dr. Eggman. I NEVER wanted to fight or betray Ruby.
Ruby’s POV
Being back tahanan was comforting. In the forest that long makes me sick. Of course I got to understand Peter better. I blush as I remember my first halik with him.
“Message for Ruby Varnet.”
“Peter, if you say my last name around my mom. She’ll start crying about my dad.”
“She’s not here so I’m going get used to saying your full name.”
“Give me that letter!” I snatch the letter from him.

I drop the letter. “Emma’s return”
Emma’s POV
“Are you sure this is a good ideal” Misty asks me
“I have to make her understand”

“Hates me, most likely. Let’s go”
We take the helicopter. “It should blend in with the darkness of the night.”
“Hope so” Misty sounded worried
We land. “Something is wrong” I state
“Good it’s not just me”
“I knew it!” Misty and I turn around to see a familiar maroon colored hedgehog.
“Ruby!” I yell
“Came back for revenge”
“No, Ruby I want to talk”
“Yeah right”
“I know you have no reason to believe me”
“I don’t!” She spat. She seemed furious, but I could tell she was a little scared and sad.
“Please” I beg
“Get ready to fight” Ruby ran at me I was kicked in the head hard.
“Remember that!” she screamed furious. She could have waked the whole city yelling like that.
“I don’t want to fight you” I pleaded. I was kicked in the head again. DANG! She fights better than she used to.
“Misty”

“Help”
“Oh, sorry I thought this was a personal problem” She was about to attack Ruby until a Tan hedgehog appeared.
“Meet Peter” Ruby sinabi a softer than her earlier talk.
“Back to the helicopter!” I yell. Misty and I run to the helicopter. I turn to look back at Ruby. Rage in her eyes. We leave.
Ruby’s POV
“I can’t believe she came after me” I sinabi to myself sheading a tear.
“She seemed like she wanted to talk” Peter stated
“I don’t care” I look at my phone at the text my mom sent me. I turn towards Peter “I have to head tahanan my mom is worried”
“That’s okay”
“Thanks”
“You’re welcome” Peter gives me a quick halik before I leave. “See you tomorrow”
Once I walk in the door my mom gets up and comes to me. “Where were you?” She asks me in the way worried mothers always do.
“I fought Emma”
“What she’s out of jail!” The sound in her voice seemed like she wanted to fight Emma herself.
“Yea, she wanted to talk to me”
“You didn’t let her?” I know she was debating on what to say to me.
“All she has is lies”
Emma’s POV
“That didn’t go well” Misty made it obvious we failed.
“My head hurts I’m going to bed” I say still holding the ice pack to my head.
“Okay”
Later in my room. There must be a way to make her understand. Ruby was like a little sis to me. susunod morning. I didn’t want to get up.
“Good morning, Emma” Misty says as she and Sidney come in. “Opps got to go get something” Misty runs out of the room.
“Why did you do it” Sidney asks

“Why did you betray us?”

“Now she hates me” I turn around trying to fight the tears.
“Hey, uh… what did I miss” Misty says after she came in.
“I’m going to find her” Sidney says as she walked out.
Ruby’s POV
I was walking around the shops in the city until I heard my name called. “Ruby”
“No, it can’t be” I turn around to see “Sidney”
“Long time no see” she says as I gave her a hug.
“Yeah”
“Listen I need to tell you something”
“It’s about Emma isn’t it?”
“Yeah, she got upset after she sinabi you hated her. She turned around and she almost cried”
“Emma cry. I don’t think so”
“Hmm… well how’s life at the new agentcy”
“Uh… good” I’m surprised how fast she changed the subject. Sidney never went off topic.
“Hey, Ruby”
“Peter” I turn to look at him. He comes stand beside me. I turn to look at Sidney again. She had a questioning look.
“Who are you” both Peter and Sidney say at the same time.
“Peter meet Sidney, Sidney meet Peter” I sighed
“Hi” Sidney greeted friendly yet suspicious.
“Hello” Peter says back “Ruby, I found out your boss is…”
“Is what”
“Emma’s uncle”
“WHAT!” Sidney and I face him wide-eyed.
Emma’s POV
I was peeking through the door at my uncle talking to another agent.
“I’m too old to keep leading this agentcy. I’m giving it to my niece”
“But…”
My uncle walks onto the stage. ”Every agent come. I’m handing the agentcy to my niece”
I saw Ruby frown. I felt like a 10 taon old about to go on their first roller coaster ride. My uncle looked at me. I shook my head no.
Ruby’s POV
I didn’t want Emma to be my boss, but I felt bad for her and I don’t know why.
“Hmm… she seems like she’s shy” the boss says.
“Most of us have heard of her” A bunch of agents say. Emma finally comes on the stage. She seemed scared. It was the segundo time I saw her in a year.
“She will be your new boss” People cheered. I wish Peter was here, but he’s an agent at our rival agentcy.
Later that day. “Hey pal”
“Sidney!”
“Yeah, since Emma’s boss here now I get to be here”
“Then I take back about her being boss”
“I thought you hate her”
“I like having my friend back”
“Yay”
“And I don’t hate her. I hate what she did”
Emma’s POV
Now that I’m leader of a big spy agentcy I have to be careful. I can’t wait to redesign moffice. Many agents welcomed me.
1 oras later. I hear the door open. I look up to see Ruby. I don’t care if I’m leader, Heck I don’t even care if I’m 20. I can’t face her. I couldn’t manage up any words.
“Surprised?” Ruby asked
“A…A little bit” I stutter
“I heard every agent had to come to you.”
I made no answer.
Ruby seemed a little mad. “Something wrong”
“N…no”
“Do you know why I’m here?”
I frown. “I don’t want to know”
“Why did you come here?”
“My uncle owned this place. He’s old now.”
“Still you know how uncomfortable I am!” She started to yell
“You think I feel comfortable too!” I broke out in a shout.
“I..I” Ruby couldn’t make out any words. Ruby backed out of the room.
Ruby’s POV
“She feels just as uncomfortable as me”
“I thought it might feel weird here.” Sidney wonders out loud
“What do you mean?”
“Emma as your boss again”
“Yeah it was awkward in her office…” I trail off.
“Ruby?”
“Nothing.”

“That must be awkward” Peter says
“Yeah”
“look Ruby, maybe you should talk to her” I look back up at peter

“Look an enemy came back to us after he got out of jail”

“Well maybe Emma changed”

I walk into Emma’s office. Sidney, Misty, and Emma turn towards me. “Ruby?” Sidney and Misty nearly say at the same time.
“Are you here for a fight?!” Emma exclaims
Sidney and misty shrink back in fear.
“Emma… no”
“Sidney told me about the lie”
“What”
“I’m sorry Ruby. I didn’t mean to let it out.”
Emma starts to attack me. Her rage gave her power. I was kicked in the leg hard. I went on one knee holding my other leg. Too much pain I look up at Emma. She kicked me hard. I couldn’t breath. Sidney looked at me horrified.
“Had enough” Emma says
“E…E…mma…please” I look up at Emma. Now she seemed different like the Emma I used to know.
“I…I can’t…b...believe I just did that. I…” Emma falls to the ground on her hands and knees. I can’t believe my eyes, she was crying.
I look at Misty and Sidney. They seem worried. “come on, let them work this out” Sidney says and they leave.
I stand up and walk over to Emma.
“I’m so sorry” Before I could even respond Emma continued. “I’m sorry for betraying you, for hurting you”
Emma’s POV
I couldn’t stop crying. “You were like a little sis to me” I sinabi still crying. Ruby will think I’m weak.
“Emma” I hear Ruby’s voice. “I forgive you”
I look up.
“Looks like not crying for years comes out hard in the end.”
Ruby’s POV
“It’s good to see that you found you mom” Emma says
“It’s great for Ruby and you to be good mga kaibigan again” Mom says gladly
“What happen to Mr.Varnet?” Emma asks.
Mom sheds a tear. “I…I don’t know where he is”
“Mom it’s ok—“ I was interrupted sa pamamagitan ng the door slammed against the wall.

“Melissa?” She comes to where we are. “I think I know where your dad is” Everyone jumps up imedently.
