They did, but the later novels have a twist on the last episode, that pleases me. The last episode pissed me off.

No, I didn't like the way it ended. The death of trip seemed to be done solely for effect, and was unnecessary. Fast-forwarding 6 years in the future seemed unnecessary as well. They tried to balutin things up as if the series had gone on for 7-8 yrs while simultaneously leaving the door open to continue... it was just a letdown.

I hated how they killed Trip, That was unnessicary, and I am glad I found someone to agree with me

It was a bad ending. And I think they made a bad ending on purpose to sort of thumb their nose at the network and the crabby people who ripped the ipakita apart on the internet. You get so much abuse from people and you think, "why am I doing this?" Oddly enough, I feel like J.J. Abrams version was madami like this ipakita than any of the other shows.
